How is that waffling? In the first post I used the polls at why they don't stand a chance. Because polls are accurate, why do you think people pay attention to them??? :mjlol:

Yang isn't even on the Ohio ballot because of his own fukkup. :dead:

The 2nd post is my personal (and many people's) reasoning for choosing Biden over Sanders.
we’re going in circles here and I’m not the one for that...just two posts back you admit people choose candidates for a variety of reasons - policy and competency being big factors - these are the reasons in which I vote for someone - in the same breath you’re saying don’t vote for these people because others are polling higher. Which one is it...doubt you’ll provide an answer that reconciles the two positions so good night

You're going on circles with yourself my nikka and you need to re-read.

Yes, I use polls to validate the legitimacy of candidates. Like everyone else on Earth who lives in a democracy.

Because of tweets? Has he done anything more substantial than this?

yes, he created and passed the bill to make redlining home loans illegal and to make all credit available to black ppl.

He also tried to pass a bill in Congress to make all police departments have internal affairs divisions in order to stop racist policing.

He’s the only candidate who has done anything for black ppl while he was in Congress. The only one

Oh, so nothing in my lifetime.
I think black people support him because of name recognition and ties to Obama, rather than him being a good example of a pro-black candidate.

Dk how old u r. Either way it’s more than any other candidate and you obviously benefit from it, if you’re black.

Bernie and Liz started talking about black issues in 2016 I’m sure they’ll get around to actually presenting some kind legislation soon. if only they could right now..:lolbron:

It's funny how you argue that Biden has done more than other candidates then also argue that other candidates haven't done anything.
So Biden basically has done slightly more than nothing, and you can really only name one thing he's done and it's not recent.

Hopefully he has a good tweet lined up for us on MLK day that we can get excited about.

you do realize he hasn’t been able to put his name on any legislation for almost the past 12 years.

it’s impossible for him to have anything recent. He was the vp.

There's really no such thing as a "never Trump coalition" :mjlol: they're all going to make some excuse to vote for Trump when the election gets closer, regardless of the Dem candidate.
Trump is the most popular president with Republican voters since Reagan. People are kidding themselves if they think any significant amount of Republicans would even think of voting against him.

The more important thing is who will get unreliable Democratic voters to actually show up to the polls.

Stop with the lies! Trump generated less votes than MITT ROMNEY and Trump peaked in popularity in 2016.

Incorrect. What I said was that Trump was the most popular president with Republicans since Reagan. Not that he got the most votes overall. And his popularity overall has changed little since election day. My point is that Republican voters are all in on Trump and almost everybody who voted for him last time is going to do it again.

Only way the Dems win is if their base shows up at significantly greater rates than they did in 2016. Going out of their way to appease "Never Trumpers" instead is foolish because they barely exist.

So why are all of those Trump's candidates in different parts of government keep losing seats in 2017, 2018, and 2019?

Because while Trump is extremely popular with Republicans, he's not very popular with everybody else. And because the president's party almost always loses seats.

My point isn't that Trump is a popular president overall. It's that it's foolish for Democrats to expend too much effort trying to appeal to Republican voters (whether they claim to be "Never Trumpers" or not) and the time would be better spent trying to get their own people to turn out.
