Bernie and Warren are interchangeable to me. I'd be happy with either.
truth be told, neither are beating trump. warren being the better dem candidate, bernie being the more popular dem candidate...as much as i want warren in the WH, at the end of the day, i don't see either energinzing the entire dem base nor "flipping" these so-called trumptards the dem party is putting so much energy behind.i see bernie having a better chance of beating trump in a general, but warren and bernie are clearly the top 2
I've been a Warren supporter for quite some time. :Bucketsumad:
Bernie Sanders isn't a communist nor a socialist. But he called himself a socialist and this is the blowback from his messaging.
It's also a fun for his supporters who incorrectly thought he was anti capitalism.
i really dont see it either that was the only thing i liked about biden, until he revealed how flabby and sick he is with these recent appearances. he's not winning shyttruth be told, neither a beating trump. warren being the better dem candidate, bernie being the more popular dem candidate...as much as i want warren in the WH, at the end of the day, i don't see either energinzing the entire dem base nor "flipping" these so-called trumptards the dem party is putting so much energy behind.

it's early man, just because yall here are are super into politics doesn't mean the rest of the world is. i tried to talk to friends about the election and candidates a few weeks ago and most were like , these are women who keep up with the news, current events and politics to a point...but it's too early for even the generally informed to be engaged, let alone the uninformed. someone may pop up, but this party and base is still more centrist - liberal than the more progressive candidates, that's why i don't believe in them, not because i don't think none of the 20 candidates can beat himi really dont see it either that was the only thing i liked about biden, until he revealed how flabby and sick he is with these recent appearances. he's not winning shyt
to be fair, i think that nothing will motivate the democratic base more than the presence of trump himself and the idea of giving him another 4 years. it's not motivating democrats that im worried about. its flipping white women and winning those 4 or 5 states, florida michigan pennsylvania. and these candidates i dont see it
Biden's poll numbers weathering his recent troubles are enough evidence. There was an article in The Atlantic I think where the author was arguing that there is a disconnect between the Twitter woke crowd and the Democrat base. The author mentioned polls showing Northam having support broadly after the blackface incident. He could have also added the Amazon HQ2 that polled strongly among Democrats even with the deal being widely criticized online. Some polls are showing that voters are looking for someone who can beat Trump as a major criteria for their vote. The liberal activists think that the key to winning is getting the discouraged voter or independent, they assume that the loyal Dem voter won't vote for anyone else so why waste time with them. They don't focus as much on the part of the base that shows up for all types of candidates whether it was Kerry, Gore or Hillary, they want those who thought that those 3 candidates did not excite them enough.it's early man, just because yall here are are super into politics doesn't mean the rest of the world is. i tried to talk to friends about the election and candidates a few weeks ago and most were like , these are women who keep up with the news, current events and politics to a point...but it's too early for even the generally informed to be engaged, let alone the uninformed. someone may pop up, but this party and base is still more centrist - liberal than the more progressive candidates, that's why i don't believe in them, not because i don't think none of the 20 candidates can beat him
dem political strategy on a national scale just seems like a clusterfukk, too many factions trying to unite, each one with different tentpole issues, some of which other factions oppose. for repubs, as long as you support guns, god, corporations, and , the rest don't even matter.Biden's poll numbers weathering his recent troubles are enough evidence. Whats funny to me is that "medicare for all" is itself a compromise of a program...to call that "the most progressive plan" is hilarious and frankly insulting...Bernie's not even a real Socialist. He's a Democratic Socialist by this country's standards, BUT everywhere else in a true Democratic Socialist country he would be consider an conservative.
"Medicare for All" is universal healthcareWhats funny to me is that "medicare for all" is itself a compromise of a program...to call that "the most progressive plan" is hilarious and frankly insulting...
