True he needs to improve as a passer. But his running ability is such a weapon that he'll be a 1st rounder just based on that skill. I know nikkas are gonna bring up RG3 but this dude is nothing like him. RG3 was just a straight line speed track guy. He wasn't very slippery when he ran and didn't make people miss. Lamar Jackson is slippery as well as explosive and doesn't get injured. He's the new Mike Vick. I would take Lamar Jackson in the 1st round without a second of hesitation. He's too dynamic of an athlete not to.

And before all the c00ns and cacs come in here saying you can't win with a running QB. Just look at how succesful a young Mike Vick was. He took a weak Atlanta Falcons team to the NFC Championship game his second year and became the first dude to beat the Packers in Lambeau during the playoffs.

Lamar Jackson = Michael Vick
Lamar is basically what it would have been like to see Vick in a Petrino offense (before the dog shyt)

I will say that you have to account for the league as a whole being much faster than when Vick played. Linebackers were much heavier, slower, etc. So it was easier for Vick to slip by defenses without needing to throw much/as well.

I believe Lamar can be successful. However, replicating what Vick did in early 2000s would be a disaster.
Better to improve in the pocket and endure a longer career as well.

New Orleans

is he even on the team anymore?
After being spotted by multiple reporters in the football operations building lobby following the team scrimmage inside Tiger Stadium, Key tweeted a photo of himself with the words "255 & ready!"
LSU listed the 6-foot-6 Key at 238 pounds, so 255 would indicate a significant weight gain for the player who set the LSU single-season sacks record in 2016 with 12.
Arden Key tweets '255 & ready' after being spotted at LSU; Ed Orgeron says 'no comment'
he tweeted he was coming back a week or so ago

barring injury, Baker Mayfield is gonna be a great pick.

They're taking more guys from these passing offenses higher in drafts now. Mahomes, Goff, Davis Webb.....Baker Mayfield is bigger than you think. He's the size of a safety and is a great athlete b/c he used to be a WR

They didnt even list Orlando Brown on there. He could've came out this year. He's gonna be one of the top LT in the draft. Watch.

He ran a 4.34 in the spring...but did that at 195.
I'd say he's more advanced as a passer than RG3/Vick when they were his age. I want him to have success, but I low key think he needs to stay two more years.

He should have left this year :yeshrug:

Upcoming QB class is going to push him down even more. Plus the streets wanted to see Kyler at QB. :wow:
