He's been good in big games and good on a legit team. Teams check for ability and effort, if that is still there, they will choose said player. It's why the market for George Hill is higher than most players with his production this year.

Teams know some players play better on good teams, some play better on worse teams

He's also had some nagging injuries (the groin injury kept coming back up) that may have slowed him down. Teams could be counting on him getting healthy in time for the playoffs and improving back to what he was last season.

The front office is smart af. You need good players to develop prospects. You get a top 5-8 pick and get Conley back. You got a squad. Memphis are doing anything but being short sighted.

May be the first time I've EVER heard the Grizz front office been described as smart af...

Refusing to trade a 33 year old slow center that doesn't play in the paint. Having 50+ million per year tied up in two players that won't play 50 games COMBINED. Drafting Hasheem Thabeet over James Harden, Tyreke Evans, Steph Curry, etc. .... any Grizz draft class in franchise history besides picking Conley
