If we bring back the same team, we're straight.

I'd actually like our chances just as much next year because we've now actually seen them in action.

My only concern is while I felt we were better than Golden State, I didn't feel we were that much better to where i'd want to be complacent and just "hope" CP3 doesn't get hurt again. It's playing with fire to rely on CP3 to have to carry us again next playoffs without doing anything to help lessen his workload.

It should be Harden carrying us but at this point there's no point in fooling ourselves: he is who he is and unless he changes up his game to get in the post/mid-range more, he's going to stay spotty with the shooting and turnovers, and be at the mercy of the refs holding their whistle like how they fukked him over in game 7 first half.

I think we trade Nene this offseason for cap space. He wasnt really contributing factor this season like last season. Anybody we can’t play against GSW shouldn’t be on the roster

This does raise an interesting point. Namely, are we at the point where we consider pure fukkery trades? :lolbron:

  • 29 yr DeAndre Jordan at a discount for 24yr Clint Capela at the max?
  • James Harden for Lebron straight-up? [if Lebron agrees to sign a multi-year max] If Bron is dead set on coming here, does Dan Gilbert say no? Do we?

I'm :troll:but also :lupe: at the same time
James isn’t coming here without both Harden & Cp3 on the roster. Keeping Capela is gravy.

At some point you have to wonder if these dudes really want a ring as badly as they say they do. You can’t get a max contract AND have a championship team built from free agents, Bron makes enough Bread on shoe deals and endorsements, if him and Cp3 can get together and work something out money wise on the contracts (like Wade conceded some cash when Bron came to Miami) then they could all take down the Warriors together.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles...-intent-on-moving-or-buying-out-ryan-anderson

The Houston Rockets are reportedly hoping to escape from the remaining two years and $41.7 million on Ryan Anderson's contract.

Kelly Iko of Rockets Wire reported Monday that the Rockets are "intent on moving Anderson in a trade." If general manager Daryl Morey can't find a taker for the 30-year-old, he will reportedly pursue buyout options.

Only Rhynos we want are the vibranium ones from Wakanda :dame:

If we did buy out Ryan Anderson's contract (since no one wants to trade for his ass)... what does that do to our salary cap situation? :dwillhuh:

Is it freed up or what's the fuzzy science?

Bron already made 200 million in his career and CP3 164 million. With that said I don’t blame them for getting their paper. I would in that situation. With that said it couldn’t hurt CP3 to take 3-5 million less.

As much as I like Bron, I ain't cool with his leaving the East cuz there will be NO competition if he comes down here and we take the warriors in 5. It would literally be what KD just did and the east would continue to suck.

My point exactly. If he wanted more money he can take another 1 or 2 year deal then get a sign and trade to a suck ass team that will give him 1 last max contract that both of them are looking for.

I don’t think bron or PG coming down here

Hope morey has a plan C
It was a thread on clutchfans like mid season around all star break when one of the insiders said morey has a backup plan if he didn’t get his first or second choice in free agency. I believe him. I’m not tripping if we don’t get Bron or George. As long as we upgrade the sf and add on talent. I think morey will pull off a trade . Don’t we still have the MLE? We can add a talent with that.

Also after the Eric Gordon acquisition I feel real good about players coming here and ballon after having some down years. I remember Gordon in LA as a superstar potential but then year in New Orleans I thought he might’ve been done for. It just showed me, that players want to come here and play up to their full potential in our system.

I’m off the Melo train. Still want to move Ryno if it improves our roster but if not keep him and his contract becomes more valuable as an expiring next summer.

Rockets to make qualifying offer to Clint Capela

With the Saturday deadline to tender restricted free agents fast approaching, the Houston Chronicle is reporting that the Houston Rockets will be making their qualifying offer to center Clint Capela. The offer is expected to be $3.4 million.

Once Capela is officially tendered, which is fully expected today or tomorrow, he can take offers from other teams starting at 11pm CST on Saturday, though the Rockets will have the right to match any offer he receives.

After a breakout year and an even better postseason in which he thoroughly outplayed both Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert, Capela is expected to be highly coveted despite his restricted status.

The 24-year-old finished the year with career highs in points per game (13.9), rebounds (10.8), blocked shots (1.9) and field goal percentage (65.2 percent, also an NBA high), and likely has some more developing yet to do. Any potential suitor is getting loads of upside along with current production.

As such, several teams have already been linked to Capela. Earlier in May, the Phoenix Suns were reported to be in love with the Swiss big man, though they did just draft Deandre Ayton, so it’s unknown how much of that interest remains.

The Dallas Mavericks are also thought to be interested. They’re also hot after Deandre Jordan, though a chance to stick it to their cross-state rivals may end up being too juicy for Mark Cuban to pass on. For now, it appears that Jordan is their option 1A, but don’t expect Capela to be much further down than their 1B option should a move for Jordan fail to materialize.

The Brooklyn Nets are also rumored to be interested. They’re negotiating a buyout of the recently acquired Dwight Howard, so there is an opening there.

And the Los Angeles Lakers have also been tied to Capela on occasion for no other reason than they have a boatload of cash to spend and the Lakers are always linked to anyone good.

The most likely scenario absolutely is Capela returning to the Rockets. Team management has said all year long how much they want Capela back, and all indications are that he wants to be back. That isn’t to say some team out there isn’t about to make Houston’s life difficult.

Anyway, the first step in securing Capela’s future is out of the way. The rest will starting unfolding late Saturday night.
