That's how I feel.

There's nothing that's getting us closer to a championship in the next 3-5 years than what we have with Harden, Capela, and CP3.

This is the team we wanted when Harden first signed in 2013 and we were talking about the future. This is it
We can compete with GSW but if Durant decides to leave at any point in the next few seasons, the trophy is ours with his roster

Last year we were literally looking at 70 wins and a championship if not for hard luck injuries in both the reg season and playoffs.

Lowkey had one of the GOAT-tier teams in league history. And we've kept that same core. We're in an opportunistic position

I have cautious optimism with what we've been told about James Ennis. Ariza should always be appreciated for his service but i think we also made him look good too. He had solid numbers with us in his first tenure here, then went to Pelicans/Wizards for 4 yrs and looked like a bum who only showed up during his final contract year, then came back here and was consistent again.

I think the media will feed into "the loss of Ariza" and will try to compare his impact with Carmelo, all the while conveniently ignoring that James Ennis is the replacement, and that he has a comparable skillset.

We had a 5 game losing streak to some bad teams. If we had Gerald Green the entire season, we win 70 games. We lost a couple of games because of our lack of depth when cp3 went down and Luc was injured. We had Gordon and harden playing practically the whole game.

Lot of the issue was Boomhower stubbornness with making people play when he could have rested them and didn't play old timers like Nene when they went out the way to restructure his contract to keep him with us.

Who is gonna be our bench center?

Honestly I think they are going to try to turn on the jets with Zhou Qi. It took Capela a while to develop, if Qi get consistent run we will have a big that can defend and also shoot the 3. Kind of a Great Value brand Anthony-Towns :manny:

That's the skinny asian guy? I didn't watch summer league but i hope buddy bulked up. The type of big we need against Golden State is a 3&D stretch 4 (Luc Mbah Moute clone) or a "freethrows & D" backup 5 for when Capela is in foul trouble or isn't delivering when hack a shaq'd.

To that end, I'd be curious if Zhou Qi has quick lateral movement.. as that'll decide what he'll be for us

He’s 7ft and can hit the 3. The playoffs/finals might be too much pressure for him though since he hasn’t had a BIG game outside of China. Capela is “skinny” as well and did fine, he’s the same build as Cap from the early years. Qi can hit free throws though and what he lacks in lateral quickness he makes up for with great recovery speed and an absolutely ridiculous wing span that’s deceptive and catches shooters off guard especially lazy floaters, he swats the shyt out of those.

I mean yea lol, hence why i said i hope buddy bulked up, not unlike Capela or even Durant. Because if we're talking "fast-tracking" him, i take that as seeing if he can contribute outside of garbage time, which means defensively he either gotta be able to move his feet on the perimeter as a 4 or he gotta handle himself getting backed-down and bullied in the paint for rebounds as a 5 when Capela/Nene are out. If it's the latter, he gon need to fill out his frame, unless he got that deceptive old man strength. With CP3, buddy's offense wouldn't be as big a concern.
