Yup I've noticed a few of the bolded really going after Lonzo for not being on the circuit. But from what I remember Thornton wasn't on the circuit last year at all either outside of going to NBPA camp.

I think Smith, Fox and Ball are the top 3 pg's in that class. I'm not high on Simmons at all like a lot of other people are.
Derrick Thornton? Ya, i think he is a bit meh as well. Is gonna have a tough time with ACC and tournament play. That's gonna be Dukes big weakness this season IMO. Unless he improved a lot over the summer or someone else steps up as a playmaker

He's a good defender with a solid handle. But from the games I saw of him in NY he can be a bit turnover prone. Anyone expecting him to be close to Tyus is not doing him a favor.

Dennis Smith and Edrice Adebayo led TLNC is now 5-0 in the adidas championship Tourney. Just advanced to the final 4, will face Mass Rivals. A very strong deep team with a lot of 3 star/4 star level players from 2016/2017.
The other 2 spots for the final 4 are about to be filled. Loaded Virginia is a very deep squad, facing the Kobi Simmons lead Atlanta Celtics and Texas Pro with a couple 4/5 star guys will play "Kansas Pray & Play", a team that I don't know much about. They are 6-0 in the tournament so far though and are sort of the Cinderella from what I gather. So should be interesting. I predict Loaded NC and Loaded Virginia to play in the final, and they already have another game scheduled for the final day against each other. So they might end up playing a double header against each other.

Fox allegedly was cooking last night. Heard Monk played great today as well.

Dunno much about the global challenge, but read on draftexpess that monk is serving
Doing a great job playmaking too.
I hope he makes the right college choice (myself not sure what that is rn) because I'm a huge fan
Payton Pritchard decommited from Oklahoma
They are my 2 personal faves in this class. It'd be great to see them on the same team, even though I know its unlikely. Im not sure they have any common schools on their list, I'm just saying

I saw the smith game today. The jumper could be better but I think he's the best pg prospect in a while.

which one? I didn't see either one but my ppl are telling me that he got shut down in the semi finals against mass rivals but than turned around and had the game of his life against Indiana Elite, including several clutch jumpers.
Adebayo really got exposed today
2-20 shooting against Mass Rivals, 10 turnovers against Indiana Elite

I still prefer Fox btw

The Elite game that was on ESPNU. He can pretty much do anything you want from your PG. I think Fox may be a better defensive player but I think Smith is a guy you throw into damn near any school and he makes them a final 4 contender off the bat.

Ya, he really played well in this tournament but that game in particular is already being called possibly the best he has ever played.
If he can keep up that sort of performance, i agree with you but he had 2 assists/ 5 turnovers and poor shooting number in a game earlier the same day. I don't expect him to put up 28/10/8 every game.
Btw, as great as he played throughout the tournament Wenyan Gabriel is the guy that was most impressive in this tournament according to my boy and he might rise into the top 25 next time the recruiting sites update their rankings.

Also my boy Pritchard, showed out once again. Led his team to the semi finals in the silver bracket (his team isn't "loaded", although Zach Collins is really good too) and was one of the leaders in the tournament in assists and 3 pointers made.

I still think he is a big time sleeper, especially at the NCAA level.

Top prospects
C - Giorgos Papagiannis .. Legit 7 footer, a menacing presence inside the paint on defense. Deserves a look late in the 1st round. Will be interesting to see where He plays next season since he has expressed interest in several NCAA schools

PF - Boris Simanic ... Serbian big with really nice length, good touch around the basket and a great stroke. 2nd Round stash for now

SF - Vassilis Charalampapoulos - Averaged close to a triple double the last several games. His bball iq and skill are tough to stop at this level. Quickness is a bit lacking for the NBA, but he is too good not to get a look. 25-40 Range

SG - Furkan Korkmaz - he is a big time shooter but his jumper was off the whole tournament. He still managed to get his team to the final andis clearly a superior all around athlete and talent. Top 15 pick

PG - Frank Ntilikina - I'd never heard of him until this tournament but he played his butt off. Excellent defensive potential, very good court vision and an improving jump shot and he is one of the younger guys in this tourney. I'd say he has top 20 pick potential if he continues to develop

Omer Yurtseven, Vojaslav Stojanovic, Omer Al and Jon Jeanne are guys that may get looks in the 2nd round if they continue to develop.

The championship game should have a lot of nice prospects in it. I'm interested in seeing how Fultz and Alkins look.
Peep the 3rd place game for Hami Diallo on Team Africa(besides Gabriel), class of 2017 and IMO a better longterm prospect at SG than Alkins. Only reason i'm comparing the two cuz they're the two best guard prospects in NYC right now and the best since Lance.
