Saw Deandre Ayton as well. Dude has a good looking shoot for a 7 footer and he looks like he could get massive. Humongous human being. I could see him being unstoppable one day. Moves well for a dude his size

He doesn't play as athletic as a person would imagine from his videos. Sounds like Duval, Jackson, Thon and Preston cooked this weekend though.
Yeah he was not impressive. Jackson was flat out unstoppable when his shot was falling. Duval looked like a senior not a rising junior. Very impressive player. Thon is a freak. I don't know who Preston is lol

It's Billy Preston. He's a 4 that plays on that Mo Williams team. I read somewhere that a coach said Duval is already more impressive than Briscoe.

Seth Curry
Jerian Grant

Norman Powell
Alan Williams
Are honorable mention

I watched almost all the games. The pelicans were the best team, just got edged out by the Sun's in the semis

The best player on the Spurs was Jonathan Simmons not Kyle Anderson. Tho Slo Mo played good too.

Reason I didn't include Simmons, Justin Dentmon and others is I only really chose guys born 1990 and after.
If you are over 25 and still playing summer league, you don't have a great shot to make it in the NBA.
I believe all 7 of these guys have the talent to become steady contributors on winning teams.
shout outs to my boy Khem Birch in particular. He is an NBA player for sure

My favorite from the adidas tourney so far is Isaiah Todd.
He is 13(!!), leading his team to a 2-0 record so far in the U17 tournament. More impressively leads them in scoring as well. Is supposed to play against TLNC today. TLNC features Dennis Smith and Edrice Adebayo, so we will see how he does against them but I'm extremely impressed so far

Yea after all the non west coasters were trying to shyt on him and call him out for ducking
To be fair Simmons is overrated in the first place and Dennis Smith's team destroyed Ball's team, even though Ball put up huge numbers.
It's hard to judge his numbers because of his style of play and the style of play of his team

They did, but Ball is basically playing with his HS team, which is a real HS and not a prep team so him and his bros were going to be at a talent disadvantage against a sneaker circuit team like Team Loaded. And yea I agree with you on the system thing, they are like that Grinnell college team with all of the cherry picking and launches from 3, Ball is very talented but he's gonna have an adjustment period when he gets to UCLA.

I never got the he's ducking comp angle. He played at Adidas nations last year from what I remember. He's committed to a school..he's not really losing much by not being on the circuit. But Label has a point that team Ball plays on plays an unconventional way from what I hear.

He's not ducking, his father has a plan for him and it doesn't involve the major sneaker circuits so he only plays in mostly WC AAU tourneys with his father's team. The ducking label comes from AAU coaches and basketball trainers mad that he's ranked higher than their kids while going mostly unseen on the national level. The Adidas invite came as a result of him already having committed to an Adidas school.

Yup I've noticed a few of the bolded really going after Lonzo for not being on the circuit. But from what I remember Thornton wasn't on the circuit last year at all either outside of going to NBPA camp.

I think Smith, Fox and Ball are the top 3 pg's in that class. I'm not high on Simmons at all like a lot of other people are.

Ya Simmons is low-key average. I would put Fox number 1 right now. Still haven't seen enough of Ball to really properly rate him but some of the passes he makes are :banderas: status. He maybe the real next generation passing "savant" not Russell

Duval is serious. He had a lot of ppl in the crowd saying he looked way better than Josh. He showed out
