Also it's funny seeing "Back To The Future II" being a treanding social media topic now 2 days in a row since New Year's. It's also cool seeing 90's and 2000's babies embrace the series. Like MJFox said. It's amazing a film series about Time becomes Timeless.

After all these years, still :mindblown: that a movie about time travel was well written enough to be fun enough to capture the imaginations of kids and be fulfilling enough for sci-fi heads.

With studios being as :patrice:about original ideas as they are - I wonder if they would greenlight something like this today.

I feel like it would be a Young Adult type drama, that focused way more on the love story :manny:

Those shyt in no way will run for 250 and its no way they gonna be a general release. They are already a collectors items 26 years in the making. You think power laces run cheap? Nike will definitely get their money back. You'll be lucky to get em for 500 when they release. Nike didnt even set a price in 2011. They let all 1500 pair get auctioned off and they averaged 6-$7,000 a pair.
you clearly didn't read what I wrote

Hell yeah they'd focus on the lOve story. And completely ruin the movie

Originality doesn't fly in today's Hollywood.

The Concept was brilliant though. A guy goes back in time but he has to make sure his parents hook up cause if he doesn't he won't exsist. I mean if you trying to make movies or you are a writer. "Back to the Future" is definitely a film to admire and study. But though the sequels got hate, they were extremely creative also.

I'm not alone in thinking part 2 is the best in the series. :manny:

We can agree to disagree. Most people don't fukk with part 3. Once again, :manny: if you don't agree.

I hear that breh but you said the best part of the movies is that they're shot in the future. You didn't say the best part of the sequel, you said the allure of the series is that it's shot in the future which makes it seem like you're saying that all three movies take place in the future when in reality, the bulk of these movies take place in the past. The entire 3rd act of part 2 is just a redo of the first movie in 1955.

But yeah there are people who feel like part 2 is the best, people who feel 1 is the best, and those who love 3. For me, it goes 1, 3, 2

As the years pass, I have come to appreciate Pt 3. I think that it's an excellent close to the series. It's more Doc's story than 1 & 2.

And it took me a while to realize that in 1955, there are 3 Deloreans. Doc tryna get Marty home Delorean, Doc & Marty tryna fix their present Delorean, and the Delorean buried in the cave.

I noticed that too. The only reason I didn't like 3 as a kid is because it split Marty and Doc up and it's definitely Doc's story. Part 2 is really the only one that's Marty's story and even then he's sharing it with other people

I would say part 1 was Marty and Doc's story even though it was mostly Marty's but saving Doc was his motivation. Part II was definitely all Marty and Part III was Doc.

Part II and III rehash so many jokes from the first I can't see how anyone could put it over, especially because so much of the sequel plots were just lazy. The way they wrote Jennifer out of the future scenes and Doc literally pulling off his old man make-up is pretty much the point you realize the movie can never live up to the tight, flawless structure and execution of the first. And you gotta love how Doc spent two sequels whining about how the time machine has to be destroyed, only to arrive in a goddamn hovering time travel train at the very end. Absolutely atrocious.

Nah part 1 is about his parents. When I say story I mean the arc. George is the one who has an arc in that story and goes from one point to another. He goes from a wimp to a confident guy Marty just helps him get there. Just like in part 3, doc goes from a guy who doesn't believe love is possible to a guy completely in love and open to it

Part II and III is primarily Marty's arc though with him overcoming his brash nature of letting others rile him up which gets him into trouble.
