Any chance you really take okafor ?

As of today, Okafor is who Flip would take. Towns is a much better fit, but Flip is old-school. Not shooting threes, post ups everywhere, one ball handler, thinking that the sum is greater than its parts, that's what Flip is about and Okafor fits that. Flip operates like he needs to win in the face of everything that has changed in the NBA, kinda like how Rex wants to ground and pound all day in football even though offense is all about passing.

Flip has a month to change his mind but he has to change his philosophy to do that and old habits die hard.

If that happens and you take okafor you think he makes it to 4 ? I've been seeing the possiblity but I dare not dream . At this point I want him due to his love of the Knicks but wouldn't mind a guard :to: I hate the draft

I've seen Flip talk about running an uptempo offense, drafting for fit, and how much Garnett supposedly likes Towns. But in the same breath you've got Flip comparing Okafor to Duncan, the reports leading up to the draft lottery about how much Flip favors Okafor, and Zgoda saying Okafor is the favorite, I'm not sure Towns is the #1 pick. Then again, I'm not sure Towns is actually the better prospect. But I guess I'm the minority though, guess me and Flip are on the same island.

Towns? What do you think LA does with their pick, Russell?

I don't think this draft class is some sure fire class so idk . The Knicks could wind up with the best player at 4 :yeshrug: I think the lakers want a guard idk

There are two bigs at the top and the lakers have the 2nd pick. - Mitch Kuptchak

rule of thumb: don't take what Jerry Zgoda says seriously. Half the time he just trolls fans on the net.

Once they work out, if Flip feels Okafor can be turned into a decent defender, he'll take him. He doesn't doubt him anywhere else IMO

Okafor's new body has already gone a long way towards sealing the deal imo, most of his praise is of him post ankle injury with poor conditioning. He's going to crush the private workouts. He's already shown he's committed to getting in better shape than he's ever been, why wouldn't that same level of effort be put into learning defense.

Surprised you're acknowledging it, most T-Wolves fans I see are ignoring the comments. And I think Flip's got it right tbh although I'm sure you think differently, he's going to be a better player than Al on both sides of the ball.

I've mentioned this before but I'll say it here for those that don't follow college ball.
Okafor had some clear fundamental issues as far as help D but he isn't AS BAD as he looked at times because coach K told him not to go for blocks or contest shots around the rim for the sake of keeping him out of foul trouble. So i think in workouts he might prove to be a better defender and i certainly expect him to be a better defender than people think as his career progresses.

What is this supposed to mean?
Wall has 69 inches combined verticals but much higher standing reach.
Rose has 74.5 inches combined. Walls vertical was recorded as high as 41 (I believe, May have been even more) during the dunk contest last year though

Combined verts :mjlol:

Bruh Wall jumps higher.

Breh, Rose's standing was to 34.5 to Walls 30

His max was 40 to Walls 39.

I mean after multiple leg surgeries that may very well be true plus the numbers are close enough that one of them was possibly just having a bad day. But I don't really see how those links prove anything
