I've mentioned this before but I'll say it here for those that don't follow college ball.
Okafor had some clear fundamental issues as far as help D but he isn't AS BAD as he looked at times because coach K told him not to go for blocks or contest shots around the rim for the sake of keeping him out of foul trouble. So i think in workouts he might prove to be a better defender and i certainly expect him to be a better defender than people think as his career progresses.

that's a bad habit because you'll just do it in the pros too.

Okafor's new body has already gone a long way towards sealing the deal imo, most of his praise is of him post ankle injury with poor conditioning. He's going to crush the private workouts. He's already shown he's committed to getting in better shape than he's ever been, why wouldn't that same level of effort be put into learning defense.

Surprised you're acknowledging it, most T-Wolves fans I see are ignoring the comments. And I think Flip's got it right tbh although I'm sure you think differently, he's going to be a better player than Al on both sides of the ball.

You also have the fleeting thought that maybe one of them doesn't want to go to minny but I doubt that's true.

I mean after multiple leg surgeries that may very well be true plus the numbers are close enough that one of them was possibly just having a bad day. But I don't really see how those links prove anything

I think measurements matter to an extent but ya everyone knows they are faaar from the end be all as far as judging athletic ability. Now is wall on Roses level? post injury, i think they are pretty close. has proven >>>> both though

I don't know why people keep writing off centers as if they're PFs. If you're 6'10 and above in the league today you're a center.

Basically. There's also murmurs of Greg Monroe becoming a Laker also. If that's set in stone behind the scenes, expect the Lakers to draft a guard. And I certainly hope so, because as a fan I would love to see Russell as a Laker.

Because there are still gigantic centers in the league that are 7 feet tall without shoes, or very close.

Eventually there's going to come a center that is a legit 7 footer that has a mean game to go along with the size advantage, and in that instance a 6'10" (in shoes) dude is going to be overmatched. Anthony Davis is basically the same height as Towns & Okafor, but the Pelicans realized playing him at the 5 long term isn't the best idea, same with Aldridge who is actually taller than Towns/Okafor.
