In all seriousness though, by most accounts, Flip Is starting to be swayed by everyone around him, but it's still a toss up since he likes Russell too. KG is in on the process so hopefully he wants to tutor TownsYou're getting him

That shot is literally one of the most disturbing things I've seen, basketball related, in months.
I really like Okafor, but whoa.
That hesitation is really awkward. But the rest of the shot seems very fluid. Something that can be worked on in time. However, he can also use that as a pretty solid fake. I think seeing that can really make a defender off-balance/uncertain.
He has a really strange hitch in his shot where he has to reset his left foot.
Not sure why they're making him shoot jumpers on the move

If Marc Gasol can become Defensive Player of the Year I don't see why Okafor can not at least become a decent to solid defender...if he puts the work in.

Playing on a very good team.
Gasol is a legit 7 footer, when you look at all the best defensive centers in the league they're all either abnormally tall, or they're athletic as fukk.
His problem is that he's a heavy guy and it leads to so-so lateral quickness, and he needs that weight in the post because he plays a power game on the block. He can get better defensively, but he's never going to be one of the elite guys.

If Okafor keeps growing say and inch or inch in a half then he'll be pretty much Gasol's height. I just think too many people like talking in definites when it comes to these 19 year old prospects. I see it with Mudiay and others too.
Gasol is 7'0" without shoes, Okafor is 6.9.5" without shoes, they're not that close in height.
It's fair to say he will never be an elite defender, he can improve but expecting him to be one of the best in a league that now has Gobert, Nerlens and Brow patrolling the paint is a bit much (Embiid has the potential to be elite as well).
