Just give everything to True Detective and call it a night on the drama side of things.
at "The Big Bang Theory" being nominated once again for Outstanding Comedy Series. Notice it's the only outdated multi-cam sitcom format that gets nominated.
House of cards got snubbed? ARE U SERIOUS?![]()
House of Cards got nominated for best Drama series... Source: http://www.emmys.com/sites/default/files/Downloads/66th-nominations-list.pdf
Not sure how True Detective is a "Drama series" while Fargo is a "miniseries" because they're clearly both "Miniseries"![]()

Yall do realize that because the show is the highest rated comedy on TV and gets an audience that's almost as big as Friends or Seinfeld is the reason it will always be nominated right? I like the show, it has its moments and I definitely wouldn't call it great, but for a show on tv that's not sports to draw that big of an audience in this day and age or cats wanting to stream everything or DVR everything, that's a big deal. To be the highest rated sitcom in 10 years is a big deal. 23.4 million people watch it and Modern Family, it's closest competition, is watched by 14.5 and it's number 1 in every demo. Again, not saying it's great, but when a show performs like that especially in this day and age, it's going to get Emmy love![]()
I know that's why TBBT is getting love, but I thought the Emmys & Oscars were supposed to be about critical success NOT commercial success.

The studio designated it to be a miniseries when they submitted it. Studios have been doing that for years in order to help a show's chances of winning. FX wants Fargo to get some love as opposed to having it go against Mad Men, Breaking Bad, True Detective, House of Cards etc. Makes sense for them to do whatever is necessary to help their chances. I ain't mad
Fargo fits the definition of a Miniseries. That's not the point
True Detective fits that same definition.
They're both anthology series which will probably both return for season 2's with a new cast, new story, ect.
Its unfair for an 8 episode anthology style series like True Detective to go up against the traditional season structured TV series (Mad Men, GoT, BB ect).
