that, and 2006 was one of the biggest screwjobs i've ever seen. The rules just DONT APPLY for the sec...and btw, you guys are fooling yourselves if you think a system with 13 individuals deciding things will make it better. If South Carolina wins out watch them fools make it to the playoffs with that loss being ALL forgiven :beli:

Nah I think they got it right in 06 no need for rematches involving teams from same conference. Florida had a sick SOS that year and deserved the trip. USC fukking kicking themselves for blowing an easy title win vs an OSU team they would've matched up well with.

01-Nebraska loses its final game by 26 doesn't win division
03- OU gets crushed by 28
11- Alabama loses at home 2nd in division over 1 loss Big 12 outright champ
00- FSU,Miami,Washington caught up in a SOS battle Miami beat FSU but Washington beat Miami
08 -Oklahoma going over Texas(who won by 10) USC,undefeated Utah

All those years were bullshyt when it came to who made the title games. 04 Auburn can complain but they just got the raw deal of starting lower in the polls than USC and OU.

LMAO THAT was some garbage

And the crazy part was USC was #1 in both polls and still got jerked out of appearing. The narrative was already made up that OU could lose by whatever and they would still make the BCS title game it was complete bullshyt.

They never explained how Nebraska belonged over Oregon or Colorado that shyt made no fukking sense didn't help that Miami could've dropped 60 on them in the title game if Coker wasnt such a punk.

I can't believe y'all would have rather have had a team who lost to Iowa State in the title game. :mjlol:

Yeah OKST losing to Iowa St in OT was bad the day the school suffered a horrible tragedy.

It's ok when LSU loses to a 5 loss Kentucky and a 5 loss Arkansas at home in 07 and gets to play title game down the road from it's campus. SEC privilege :sas2:

this is why I find myself rooting for Texas :snoop: to beat UCLA and for OSU to possibly somehow beat FSU tomorrow, the Big 12 needs quality wins(just in case OU is in a position to make the top 4).....unfortunately, FSU losing would be carte-blanche for the media to excuse 2 SEC teams making the playoff :beli:
Who are you rooting for in the Oregon vs. MSU game?

This conference is all about Texas and OU being at the top of their game. It is a conference with two heavyweights and 8 teams that can make noise here and there. If one is down, it's average. If both are down....forget about it. This is already looked at as the weakest P5 conference in the nation. You know it and I know it. Which is why most of the Texas and OU fans still want to head west.

@jadillac what was your take on OU getting in the BCS title game after losing by 28 to KSU in 03? I remember the early years of the BCS the Big 12 was teflon when it came to getting in titles via fukkery (01 Nebraska still the WOAT) has the CFB public held it against the conference since those teams never came through. shyt Oklahoma alone got to the title game 3 times via dispute and lost every time shyt like that probably got the rest of the cfb people saying :camby:. That Sugar Bowl win may have been Stoops biggest non Texas win since beating FSU for the title just for the sake of OU and the Big 12 not getting a blatant burial nationally.

@ the bolded, it's NOT EVEN A QUESTION. The fact that he beat Saban, who had beat him w/ LSU. The fact that Stoops has talked trash about the SEC before last season. The fact that NOBODY gave us a chance...that win alone landed us several more recruits...so yeah it was HUGE

That embarrassing A&M blowout was the last straw, we let go of several asst coaches after that, something Stoops rarely does.

As far as making the BCS game after the KSU blowout, that was the ultimate :skip: moment. Off the top of my head tho, I cant remember, I dont recall another team having a super strong case to replace us and that's why the BCS committee let us slide.

As far as the other disputes, the 04 season with undefeated Auburn was a toss up(we were flat awesome that year with Peterson) and the 08 thing with Texas beating us was voided when we blew out Tx Tech(who was ranked pretty high b/c they beat Texas)

07 as a whole was BS but it's bullshyt how LSU got a free pass from 7 to 2 for beating an average Tennessee team by 7. Meanwhile OU stomped out the #1 team in Missouri(twice) and they only moved up a couple spots while LSU shot from 7 to 2

2007 was a very down year for college football. No great teams at all. Nobody wanted to play Georgia at the end of that year though.

That wasn't a title game. It was a regular game after a school tragedy. I dont make excuses for teams but they CLEARLY were affected by that b/c they'd been rolling over everyone that year...including us. And that game, they just looked flat.

Who are you rooting for in the Oregon vs. MSU game?

:patrice:

lol....that's a tough one. Either way it'll possibly determine part of the playoff

was that the year USF or Boston College were both in the top 5 or something? :mjlol:

USC belonged over OU that was the moment the BCS was done. Big 12 wasn't even all that in 03 so OU's great wins came vs Texas and a Oklahoma St team that beat KSU early and did nothing else. Alabama was ass and USC gave UCLA the work 2x as much as OU did that season.

It sucked too because LSU got gifted an easy cherry pick for the title getting bum ass Todd Boeckman led OSU. Honestly OSU beat a big pile of nothing all season i'd rather seen Oklahoma vs LSU again over Ohio St they just lucked into the game after a struggle 14-3 win over Michigan.
