if he has big numbers in the SEC, they can't ignore him.

It's a double edged sword. ESPn and the media have made a monster of SEC hype. So now, if a guy comes in and throws for 400 yards a game, they have to acknowledge it. Remember none of these "gimmicky" offenses are supposed to work against SEC defenses.
The majority of the SEC West is using some type of spread offense though(Ole Miss, MSU, Auburn, A&M) with good success.

straight up spurrier talk and hype. Never before has a team lost a transcendant player and people thought they'd be like 2-3 wins BETTER than last year....its nonsense...like I said they aren't that talented. Spurrier said it right...they have 1 player on the all sec THIRD team...they're gonna give up 35 points a game.
They took a hit on D.

3 DL starters(Clowney) and 2 CB starters from what they said last night. USCjr offense didn't look all that hot either. I just don't believe aTm's D has improved that much from last year. Lol that SEC East will be some hot garbage.

whats worse in 2014, big ten west or sec east

Big ten west:
Purdue, illinois, iowa, minnesota, nebraska, northwestern, wisconsin
SEC East:
Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, TN, Vandy, South Car

low key IDK the best team on that list is probably gonna be wisconsin...Kentucky, TN, Vandy, Scar are clearly awful...Florida is a wildcard and georgia is ?? status.

:comeon: Yeah we know this. Florida won 2 nat titles with a spread......BUT there's a difference between that and the Big 12 type of spread of which you saw much of from A&M last night. The quick swing passes in the flat, the quick slants, the slashing off-tacke runs out of the spread.

It was Texas Tech-ish but with MUCH BETTER horses.

id say sec east

iowa, minny, nebraska, northwestern, wisky could all win 8 plus games

vandy and kentucky are garbage
tenn is still not there yet
south carolina many holes on offense and defense
florida to me will still be ass offensively
i see georgia struggling
mizzou lost alot of weapons and pinkel has always been up and down
as in 12 wins won year next year 8 etc.

We aren't going to be world beaters or anything of the sort but clearly awful? :whoa: Can we play our first game before we decide?

yeah thats not 100% fair...you have a really tough schedule...i odn't think you'll be successful but 'clearly awful' is a bit of a reach.

I agree.

It will be interesting to see how A&M does against a team with a good pass rush though.

Florida is going to be solid. its hard to trust UGA but its hard to deny their talent. UT might suprise

never understood why South Carolina was so highly ranked

They shouldn't have.....Should have been around #20 at best, until they prove they can live up to expectations. They never have when they were ranked high before.

everyone says this today

but only like...3 of us said anything :heh:

Because nobody knows what a team is going to be before the year has started. You have to at least let people see them at the beginning of the year before you judge. That's why the polls shouldn't even come out until mid-season. The BCS was a joke because of team "name" bias.

i think this is the year the bottom tier of the SEC [outside of Auburn, Alabama, LSU] get super exposed and have awful years...and the middle tier [georgia, florida, TN] have really rough years. aTm i'm not sure which they belong right now.

SVP and Rosillo spoke on this during their podcast yesterday. They discussed how they think that a couple of teams in the PAC 12 could run thru the bottom of the SEC :leon:

I don't get why people argue this on here. I don't know anybody on here who says top teams in all leagues can't run through the bottom of other leagues. That's some radio caller talk. The bottom teams are at the bottom for a reason, bad coaching, and lacking players to compete.
