I wouldn't be mad if Dennis Allen sat him for a year. Odds are we're not going to the playoffs this year so let's see what happens next year with a better line and hopefully better receivers. Being a Raiders fan all these years makes me think like this.

Me too. I felt the exact same way about Pryor. Let this kid get super sharp from the bench so we got a more prepared QB. I'd rather the shyt QBs take the beatings from defenses, besides this team needs talent so I'd rather not jeopardize a decent draft pick. We Raiders anyway, we can eat losing seasons like they ain't shyt.

I agree with this. Let Matt Shaub play the first 4 games and see what happens. Give Derek Carr some time to really learn the playbook, and adjust to the NFL life. Give our oline some real in game experience so they can play as a real unit. Give the running game some time to work together and develop a workable style of play.

Otherwise we're just going to be throwing Derek Carr out there and setting him up for failure.
