I wouldn't be mad if Dennis Allen sat him for a year. Odds are we're not going to the playoffs this year so let's see what happens next year with a better line and hopefully better receivers. Being a Raiders fan all these years makes me think like this.
:what:
Hell nah. He needs to be playing right now. F*ck sitting out a whole year. For what.. a better coaching staff in the future? Lol. You guys do know we have a major stadium issue going on right now along with empty seats galore during the regular season. Leaving the best QB on the sidelines with a clipboard will pretty much doom the franchise. Time is of the essence right now for the Raiders. We don't have that luxury other teams might have in this situation. If Carr can get some wins and master up some type of hope for the franchise we'll get the crowds back and we might even hear some new stadium perposals for either the Bay Area or LA sprout up. There's alot riding on this season. The future is right now. We can't purposely tank like the Sixers and say everything will be alright. Another bad year and we're fukked. Start Carr now!

I just don't want him to get obliterated behind a line that hasn't gelled or get hung out to dry by playmakers that ain't making plays. However if the offense is looking kinda sharp and a QB away from being serious then I say throw him in. I want to see what everybody else doing before we put Carr out there. I understand what you're saying but its been too much tragedy for this franchise I'd rather be sure this is an offense that's worth us throwing Carr out early.

I hope I'm not jumping the gun on Carr but so far he's been the brightest spark at QB since Rich Gannon imo and that was 12 years ago. I've watched all his games at Fresno State and he's been studying NFL film since he was 12 years old. I say throw him in there. This franchise needs some ray of hope in the worst way possible. Maybe sit him if we've had a handful of winning seasons and some nice playoff runs in the past 6-7 years or so but we haven't had sh*t since the superbowl against the Bucs. Right now, in the eyes of others, we're a sh*tty losing franchise with a violent gang banging fanbase that plays on top of a baseball diamond in a sh*tty tarped off stadium with sewer problems. Meanwhile on the other side of the bay the 49ers have a good team with a star QB and a brand new sparkling stadium.

The issue of a new stadium is on the floor right now. Clipps just sold for $2 billion and a football stadium might be coming next. We need wins and players that people want to pay to see. The NFL is a .500/parity league anyways.. nothing is impossible even for right now. Hell Dennis Allen's system might be the best thing for Carr. A different coach might bring in something entirely different. In the big picture a tank job will crush this franchise

It doesn't really matter to me either way, as long as its what's best for the franchise. I just dont want to see us lose a QB cuz of incompetence.

I guess, but I'm feeling vindicated right now seeing Charles still on a team being effective while Champ out on the street. Used to swear up and down Charles was better and longevity wise he proved me right. :lolbron:

Makes me wonder why Champ didn't switch to safety like Charles. You can't stick with 4.3 running receivers when you're in your late 30's...unless you're Darrell Green that is.

You shouldn't make decisions based off what another team is doing. You have to do what's best for your franchise at the time. Not saying I disagree with your opinion on starting Carr, just pointing out, those shouldn't be the reasons that they do
