Through 5 games into the season, the Auburn OL is currently No. 23 nationally in TFL ratio allowed. This is not the total number of TFL allowed as ranked by the NCAA but the actual ratio relative to the number of snaps taken. The OL is allowing a TFL every 16.1 snaps. Based on Auburn standards, this is the best ratio over the past 20 years of Auburn football. Based on total TFL allowed, the Auburn OL is No. 18 nationally.

The Auburn DL is No. 19 nationally in generating tackles for loss. They are No. 10 nationally in quantity and No. 19 in quality.

Auburn and South Carolina are the only 2 SEC teams in the nation's top-25 of both offense and defense.

Auburn was one of the worst teams in the country and easily in the SEC last season, when it comes to this statistical category.

:whew: dat line play

Chizik's 2011-2012 run might have been the WOAT in recent history considering the talent on the team. Coaching counts.

Auburn doesn't suck. I dont expect them to play for anything significant at the moment. They will probably be towards the top of the SEC again year after next, maybe even next year.

Ellis Johnson will put together a good defense.

that has nothing to do with them sucking right now.

Gene Chizik must've been a terrible recruiter. How do you go from winning a national title in the SEC, no less. Then fall off like that. Schools that win titles generally have recruits beating the door down.

They don't suck right now though. You may have to qualify what sucking actual is. They are not elite, but definitely a solid football team.

Gene Chizik is what we thought he was. An all around terrible coach. When you have a dynamic player like Cam and a few guys on your defense like Nick Fairley, you will win games. I little bit of luck helped them win the National Title also.

We were top 5-10 in almost every year he was HC. Half the recruiting classes didn't pan out or aren't on the team and his player development was non existent.

Now we actually have coaches on staff that know how to get the most out of whats left, which is still pretty talented.
