I still can't believe timmy is now considered as good as gone..just a couple years back i had hopes of him going down as the GOAT and being a career long giant :beli:

We got extremely lucky that Timmy is showing his regression and B-Weezy got injured so we can evaluate them next year at no huge cost. Imagine if we had locked either one of them down long term ... yikes.

Huff, Freddy, Affeldt, and Rowand's contract come off the books which frees up 34m of essentially dead weight. There aren't any huge players except Casilla/Romo coming up for arbitration, but I doubt they'd garner that much.

I imagine we'd try to keep Melkman & Pagan since we have nothing in the minors and Gary Brown isn't doing much. But we should have a decent amount of cash to finally go after another bat.

After 2013, Zito and Timmy finally come off the books which opens up 44m.

The only thing I'm concerned about is Sabean with cash isn't necessarily a good thing ...

Pablo's signed for 2 more years after this. Honestly, if he continues to rake at this pace with AT&T being his home ballpark and doesn't eat himself out of the league, I'm ok with paying him.

Posey's under club control until 2016, so we have time to evaluate him. We'll figure out if he's a top tier catcher or an above average 1B in the long run.

But yeah, the biggest threat to the team might be Sabes with an open wallet. :merchant:

Melk Man has already joined The Freak, The Panda, & The Beard in the lore of Giants fanatics. His hitting has been amazing and his defense/speed has been surprising. Wouldn't be surprised if he leads the league in triples since his HR swing gets suppressed in AT&T. He's completely adjusted and is nailing the fast gaps and triples alley ... complete and utter beastmode right now.
