I am cool with both deals, I hope Scoot isn't a classic giants contract - but I like that we are bring back players and hopefully Gary Brown can get the bigs finally and maybe Pill can find his way back as pinch hitter.

Brown needs to have a big year in the minors this year. Dude isn't exactly young for a top prospect anymore.

a lot of people think brown wont be able to hit in the big leagues, apparently he has a weird batting stance or something

brown is still CF of the future imo. if anything pagan goes to LF at end of the contract here.

Im honestly fine with money but both contract have one extra year. but like dude above me said, this extra year is like a thanks thing from sabean...and honestly both of these dudes came up big time :manny:

I watched him play , because well I am a baseball nerd. He does have a weird baseball stance and he has trouble with pitchers who throw junk at him (all off speed variety). He reminds me of Torres in a way, overly aggressive with the fastball and a good glove in the field. He was very good in SJ, I even drove to watch a game - but that is like saying a guy is a good boxer at club shows, so...

I have hope in Joe Panik the SS in San Jose , who is an aggressive hitter - but lacks defense yet could develop into a off the bench hitter or utility guy.

Heath Hembree and Boch son both look to be good bullpen pitchers
