New Orleans might target Portland Trail Blazers restricted free agent forward Nicolas Batum, who is considering accepting an offer from the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Hornets’ Monty Williams coached Batum when he was an assistant with the Trail Blazers.

The Raptors are currently going all-out to sign Steve Nash. Toronto has offered Nash a three-year deal worth $36 million, sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein. But if Nash, who is also considering Phoenix, New York, Dallas and Brooklyn, rejects Toronto's offer, the Raptors may turn their attention toward Lin. The Knicks can offer Lin a four-year deal worth $24.5 million. But an opposing team can offer Lin a poison pill that could go as high as $40 million over four years. Such a contract would pay Lin $5 million in each of the first two years and then go as high as $15 million in each of the last two years. Toronto, Dallas and Brooklyn have all expressed interest in Lin, according to sources, though he is a backup plan for each of the clubs.

Anyone that gives Lin a huge contract is going to get burnt. Hell isn't Delonte West a FA this summer? I would rather the raps sign him.

either way the Bulls are fukked... don't match and you lose Asik, match the offer and you're in salary cap hell

I'm just glad Asik might be out of the East, dude was a pain in the ass for the Heat, especially in last year's ECF... one of the better interior defenders in the league

People wanna sign Lin because of the hype and merchandise/ticket sales.:yeshrug:

Yes good luck with that last place Toronto . Lin in NYC works for his marketability noone gonna want to hear about a struggling team in Canada , and yes I know bout the population Of Asians . It's just stupid

The most recent proposal, sources said Sunday night, would call for the Nets to send the expiring contracts of Jordan Farmar, Johan Petro, Anthony Morrow and Jordan Williams along with the signed-and-traded DeShawn Stevenson and a future first-round pick to Atlanta in exchange for Johnson.

Other free agents on the Mavericks' list include Marcus Camby, C.J. Miles, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Josh Howard, Joel Przybilla, Brandon Roy, Hasheem Thabeet and Dallas Wilson product Anthony Randolph.

:weirdo: @ that trade

A possible core of Rivers/Gordon/Batum/Davis and would still have a lot of cap space
