(Team owner Glen) Taylor said the first priority isn’t necessarily a wing player but “We’ve got to get some big guys.”

They’ve been pursuing Boston restricted free-agent center Greg Stiemsma and Lakers power forward Jordan Hill and it now looks like those bigs will be the priority over a wing. As for those wings, their best options are, in this order:
1. Courtney Lee
2. O.J. Mayo
3. Andre Iguodala

Glen maybe a senile tightwad, but yes, they do need bigs.

That being said, that wish list needs to be turned upside down.

WE WANT IGGY! WE WANT IGGY! WE WANT IGGY! WE WANT IGGY!

of course breh...$4.5 million on a one year deal ain't enough security :shaq:

Reportedly he wanted a longer deal. Same yearly amount but for 4 or 5 years. It'd be more understandable for him to have done that if he didn't have such a horrible playoff debut.

At least with the Ariza situation he was coming off a great playoff run.

I keep saying, The Lakers don't give a fukk, they traded Shaq and were willing to trade Kobe. So if you some dude coming off the bench or mediocre role player you best not try no bullshyt. Find yourself on the outside looking in.

man that was a :snoop: move on his part.

Have fun on the Bobcats Sessions :whoo:

It sounds like Sessions is getting the long term deal he wanted, what's the issue?

He wanted to stay with the Lakers and he wanted the chance to remain a starter.

He's set up better financially but now he definitely wont be in the playoffs again and is going to be coming off the bench behind Walker.

The Lakers actually wanted to give him an extension. Even after he opted out they wanted to bring him back, but then Nash became available and they managed to get him.

After how he played in the playoffs, I don't think the Lakers were offering him the kind of years and $ he was looking for. Even if he had opted in, they would have still went after Nash and Sessions would be benched and would be a free agent next year with no guaranteed money in his future.

He's happy just to be in the league. After two weeks in Charlotte, he'll be saying how great it is and how he would spend the rest of his career there.

The Rockets will soon have the space to absorb Orlando's Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu, Chris Duhon and Epcot Center.

the unmentioned thing is how Dwight's trade affects so many other guys, esp the vets that have lived in orlando for so long
