Gators are young and talented. The D should be a beast especially when powell gets back. Muschamp is doing a great job recruiting Gator dynasty is making a comeback!
I'm just going to say this; Muschamp MAY get us where we expect to be and I know it's early in the season but:
some coaches have that "it" to be head coaches while some are better off as coordinators.
I'll agree with that
I think that Muschamp would do wonders with this defense if he was the DC and had a better HC above him.
Florida needs to get their legs under them. They have the athletes and talent to be in every game this year, but they need some consistency on offense.
I still think that they can make it through most of the teams on their sched. The only FOR SURE losses that I have are LSU and FSU at this point. I still think that they'll play villain for UGA's easy year and upset them at the Cocktail Party.
A&M and Tennessee are going to be two good early tests. TAMU is chomping at the bit to prove that they belong in the SEC. Not to mention it will be A&M's opening game now for the year AND SEC play. I think they are going to come out and give Florida their best game possible.
Tennessee is way overdue (SEVEN years?) for a victory in that rivalry. CBS doesn't even care about the game anymore, they had to pass it along to ESPN. It will be a night game in Neyland and those fans are going to be hype for that game now that they handled NCSU.
Two strong teams coming at Florida.
I would say that Florida will be in over their heads, but the reality is that their defense SHOULD keep them in those games. Their front 7 should be able to keep A&M anchored while they get their shyt together on offense in that game.
Vs Tennessee their DBs will be put to the test but they have TALENT in their secondary. It's not like the passing game matters in the UT game anyway because the team with the most rushing yards wins that game every time anyway. Tennessee doesn't have elite talent at that position and Florida's DL and LBs will be able to keep UT's sideways run game bottled up.
We'll have a pretty good idea of what Florida is made of after these next two weeks are through with. They named a starting QB, they got the rust off, it's time to show and prove.

I never liked the Muschamp hire, but I rolled with it because I had to. I felt if we going to give somebody with little HC experience the job, I wanted Charlie Strong. Muschamp was out of control again Saturday, cursing up a storm and acting crazy on the sidelines, micromanaging his brand new OC, and making confusing at best decisions in regards to the QB situation. There was at least 10k empty seats at the game too. If we lose to A&M, I could see us having a losing season, and no way Muschamp survives that.Time to come home brother.
The all-round miserable doubt from all the Gaytor fans put a smile on my face
Ten more days.
when the last time y'all beat UF?
