nuggets were never going to trade melo straight up for noah.
we were leverage to force ny hand so they would get antsy impatient and give denver something instead of doing what would have been best for ny and just waiting it out to sign melo outright in the off season
its the same argument i make when people think golden state would have traded monta straight up for noah. first off the likely hood is they want other pieces involved. secondly the deals that eventually came through were always on the table. so you measure it and can use common sense to conclude that the front office of the nuggets and later golden state would take the deals they eventually got, over just a straight up deal for noah
the deal nuggets got for melo>>>>>noah
the deal golden state got for monta>>>>>>noah
so why do we continue to beat a dead horse really believing the noah talk was on the table but wont consider the other deals that eventually were agreed to, were also on the table and those deals would have eventually been accepted
except now you have a noah that feels betrayed and he not giving his all on the court because he was forced into so many trades
so the front office made some mistakes, but making deng and noah always feel they were never on the market, even if we know they were on the market were good moves from garpax.
