2002 was the worst year in the history of hiphop.

Just listened to those em songs on the 8Mile OST yesterday, and I was literally :mindblown::mindblown: @the fact that the same dude who absolutely murdered those songs flow, lyric & rhyming wise dropped only absolutely unlistenable garbage for the last decade or something :mindblown:
He's too worried about rhyme schemes to flow like water now
:mjcry::mjcry:

1998 was far worse imo.
:huhldup:DMX alone proves this is bullshyt, nikka came out and dropped 2 straight classics that year.

Then you had Hov along with No Limit and Cash Money and that was just the tip of the iceberg.:camby:

The same era that spawned this album/statement :dead:

In about 5 or so years, "mumble rap" will be looked upon favorably to oppose whatever will be hot then :loldenzel2:
:comeon:Nas didn't even make that album because of Snap music which hadn't taken over yet (it started in 07 with Soulja Boy) he said Hip Hop was dead because artists didn't have power anymore the labels did, and even though most older nikkas didn't fukk with that era every dude I know hates this era far more no one will ever say they miss the days of Lil Yachty and Young Thug besides the kids who listen to them now.:mjlol:

Foh them songs trash. But but but they were made in 2002 so they are better than anything these days :mjcry:
Begone Millennial:pacspit:no matter how much y'all try to spin it everything before now was better than the shyt on the radio right these days, 2002's worst cuts > mumble rap's "best".

Fair enough. Just do yourself a favor and check out Pinata by Freddie Gibbs & Madlib. Album of that year IMO and I haven't had a single hip-hop fan I've suggested listen to it that didn't like it.
Cocaine Pinata was:whew:

2006 was wayyyyy worse. The ringtone, swag surf era was def WOAT

Again I'd take Ringtone Snap shyt any day of the week over the current Mumble rap.

Early 80s and snap era
I'm sorry but you can't put early 80s in there....if its because the raps and flows were basic...well it was still really in it's infancy ...most flows and schemes hadn't been invented...those were the creators...you can't appreciate the " finished product" of today and discount what it was built on...and that's not really my time but I remember it and have mad love and respect for the 1st generation rappers

Even if u think "mumble rap" sucks...the production is wayyyy better than that cheesy weak ass ringtone/snap production. Ringtone era was nursery rhymes over p*ssy ass popcorn beats. At least modern era trap beats can be hard
