But how much was Usher? Usher played into it with the Chili drama. and we learned about the album creation years later. Hot album...but Usher was just the mouthpiece.

JD wrote the album, JD said multiple tracks was about his life.... and he made Usher record yeah with lil jon when Usher didn't want to do it.


If JD could sing....Usher doesn't put out that album.

Going by that standard, no R&B artist should get credit if they didn't write most of the album, which isn't fair.

It's ultimately up to the R&B artist to put good sounding vocals on the tracks to make it sound good.

Now, 8701 was an actual Usher Album as he created tracks on the third attempt with himself at the helm last min.

after the first couple attempts leaked on the net and wasn't getting a great reception.... usher recorded tracks that he had in his mind and it worked out. Usher took the lead on 8701.

Not saying usher hasn't wrote nor wrote for others. But confessions was a JD idea and project. Usher wasn't looking to get help making that album and put together a team to make it happen....nawww JD brought the project to Usher to mouthpiece and get some input. Confessions wasn't Usher's vision like his other albums writers or not....
