25% of adult american females and 17% of adult american males were sexually molested as children
It's possible

The Leadership Council - 8 Myths About Child Sexual Abuse

"Estimates suggest that only 3% of all cases of child sexual abuse (Finkelhor & Dziuba-Leatherman, 1994; Timnick, 1985) and only 12% of rapes involving children are ever reported to police (Hanson et al., 1999). A nationally representative survey of over 3,000 women revealed that of those raped during childhood, 47% did not disclose to anyone for over 5 years post-rape. In fact, 28% of the victims reported that they had never told anyone about their childhood rape prior to the research interview. Moreover, the women who never told often suffered the most serious abuse. For instance, younger age at the time of rape, a family relationship with the perpetrator, and experiencing a series of rapes were all associated with delayed disclosure (Smith et al., 2000)."

Child Sexual Abuse Statistics

"experts agree that the incidence is far greater than what is reported to authorities."

Studies by David Finkelhor, Director of the Crimes Against Children Research Center, show that:
  • 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 20 boys is a victim of child sexual abuse;
  • Self-report studies show that 20% of adult females and 5-10% of adult males recall a childhood sexual assault or sexual abuse incident;
  • During a one-year period in the U.S., 16% of youth ages 14 to 17 had been sexually victimized;
  • Over the course of their lifetime, 28% of U.S. youth ages 14 to 17 had been sexually victimized;

but then we also have this

"A Bureau of Justice Statistics report shows 1.6 % (sixteen out of one thousand) of children between the ages of 12-17 were victims of rape/sexual assault (page 18)."

but we must also remember

"The prevalence of child sexual abuse is difficult to determine because it is often not reported"

and again, you must remember that adult ranges from 18(or 19) to 65+

and this is even more important

"Child sexual abuse is not solely restricted to physical contact; such abuse could include noncontact abuse, such as exposure, voyeurism, and child pornography (page 1)."

This is non-sense

You're going to have to give me more than what is essentially 'this is non-sense because the numbers are too big for me to believe':cmonnow:

No numbnuts the burden of proof is on you.
have I not posted sources? The burden of proof would be on me if I made a claim and didn't back it up with evidence. I claimed it was possible and provided trusted websites that cite studies that report that these crimes are rarely reported, i've also shown that child sexual abuse is not just rape and molestation.

For such an enormous claim you need pretty compelling evidence.
what enormous claim have I made? That's 25% of adult women in the US have been sexually abused as a child is a possibility? That's not an enormous claim:heh::childplease:

And so far you keep posting studies you didn't bother to read.
and?

Those numbers are similar to statistics for the Congo. They would be alarming if they coincided with the percentage of german women raped at the end of WW2.
therefore they can't be accurate?:heh::cmonnow:

I already showed that the claims of that poster are bogus.
I already showed that that "study" is a fukking joke. It is fukking worthless.
no, you didn't, to prove something bogus you must prove that the information is false or seriously flawed, you've done neither. You pointed out that the the first bit was about the american public and the second bit was about african americans and you pointed out that the person citing the study is a journalist and not a researcher.

Yes you posted sources but didn't read the actual studies, just like pseudo-intellectual coli scholars are known to do. You don't know what they consist of, what definitions were made, methodology, sample size and composition, if it's valid to extrapolate the findings to large demographics
fair enough.

http://www.nsvrc.org/sites/default/...packet_statistics-about-sexual-violence_0.pdf
The National Sexual Violence Resource Center gives us a digital object identifier for this statistic
"One in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually
abused before they turn 18 years old (f)"

http://sci-hub.io/10.1016/0145-2134(90)90077-7

from here we can see that 2,626 american men and women over the age of 18 were questioned, here are the questions they were asked:

if you want to know more about any other studies ask me about them or just look them up yourself
Sci-Hub: removing barriers in the way of science

Read the OP that initiated this whole conversation.
sure, but the conversation between you and I was initiated by this
1 in 4 black girls are molested or raped.

1 in 6 black boys are molested or raped.

It's extremely common in the black community but shrugged under the rug. Y'all are more concerned about who's gay or a tranny and shytting on them and letting generations of pedophilia and sexual assaults be secrets/never addressed.

You haven't shown anything
false, the only person that hasn't shown anything is you. I've shown you the statistics, you haven't seen the details but that is not the same as not seeing anything.

has the same amount of child predation as a war torn country where rape is used as a weapon.
again
"Child sexual abuse is not solely restricted to physical contact; such abuse could include noncontact abuse, such as exposure, voyeurism, and child pornography (page 1)."
Again, there is more to child sexual abuse than rape, our rate may look high but think about what you're comparing, if you're going to do a serious comparison then compare their child rape rate to our child rape rate instead of comparing their child rape rate to our child sexual abuse rate.

Multiple "trusted websites" quoted that 60% figure as well, including forbes
Forbes isn't a trusted website, clown. The trusted websites were LeadershipCouncil.org and victimsofcrime.org, on the subject of child sexual abuse they are much more trustworthy than forbes.

Anyway I'll actually read the sources provided. At least that will be a plus from this silly exchange.
you do that mate.

obvious misquote that was corrected when I posted the tertiary sources. Are you going to respond to the other things I wrote?

All these sensationalist sexual abuse "statistics" would make you think we're living in the Congo, or the Balkans during the 1990s, or 1971 Bangladesh. I don't believe or trust these "statistics" one goddamn bit. It reminds me of the utterly absurdist claim of "1 in 4 women on college campuses will experience sexual assault."

They should shove his dikk and balls in his mouth and then let him choke on em.

It would be a gamble on whether he dies from suffocation or blood loss.
