Yes there is my line of work specializes in this kind of stuff especially with kids. There is no excuse for children to be in a parking lot. None. Only excuse she can have is if she had no idea about any of the resources available and even then I find that hard to believe.

I work in it now as a part of my job. There are contingency plans for instance in December there was a 2nd alarm fire at an apartment complex. We worked with red cross and salvation army to get 68 residents that were displaced, shelter. The fire happened at like 2 in the morning. It was an all night and day thing.

As far as just going to shelters. They are already over run.

That sounds cool. Even works sometimes. I've assisted many people and families that have burned their houses down or homeless people thatve burned a vacant house or condemned house down, just because they were cold.

Tragedies happen. It's always easier to analyze afterwords. shyt, we have weekly and monthly debriefings and that's not counting shyt that actually ends up in court.

We reached the point of kids freezing to death because of the cost of living. Back in the day these types of people would have been able to get a motel for 30 dollars a day now even for the most gutter motels you been lucky to get a 70 dollar a night stay
