She wasn't gambling she was with her mom, and other kids and family, just homeless.

I watched her interview. Not one tear seemed to be shed by her. Her voice is quivering like she is crying, she states it hurts so bad, but there were no tears shed by her for those babies she lost.

I feel sorry for those children and the family that will miss them, but at the moment I am not certaIn that the mother is one of them.

Just because someone doesn't grief how you want them to doesn't mean they aren't experiencing grief.

I guess my question is why weren't they staying with relatives instead of waiting until now when two of them passed away.

Her, the kids, grandma, plus more. That's a lot of people to take it. Knowing the outcome (death) of course id do it. But and who knows 3 months is a long as time, she probably already stayed with whatever family was available for weeks at a time.

Shelters get full when it's cold. And they try extremely hard not to separate mothers and children. Their literally might not have been anything available.

There's arent just places a plenty to go. If that was the case, many people would be off the streets. Many shelters cannot handle the load of transients when it gets really cold. Dude could have helped, he had a roof over his head, he even said that his family could have taken them in, but she never told anyone that she was homeless. Yall gotta understand, people are out here STRUGGLING. Majority of the country is one missed paycheck or a medical emergency away from losing everything.

I can’t even judge that woman in good conscience because I’m sure she felt rock bottom in her situation and prideful to try to escape it. There’s so many factors at play.

I got a sibling who’s experienced homelessness (living in motels). If there wasn’t a male significant other and so many kids involved, I would’ve easily stepped up and had her in my crib. We even tried to help them find housing. But people just have to be willing to make a change and progress in life
