Chump shyt, Kenny's entire layout career wise has always been suspect to me
The diss track still happened.. What could've been interpreted as your true feelings came out on that track..Kendrick doesn’t have to collab with Cole if he doesn’t want to but i’d say Kendrick having ill feelings towards Cole at this juncture AFTER Cole literally bent the knee and kissed Kendrick’s ring would be more than little fukked up if they were ever friends to begin with. Cole speaks so highly of Kendrick and Drake in his podcast that you can’t help but feel a little bad for him because Cole really does come off as a genuinely nice guy who cherished his association with the both of them. Like he REALLY felt honored to be part of the “big three” and probably took the brotherhood associated with it more seriously than either of the other two did.
Hip Hop is a blood sport at the end of the day when your vying to be the undisputed best and Cole brought it upon himself for claiming GOAT status, hopping in the ring, and then having second thoughts. But a man publicly bowing to another man and literally giving him the crown should come with SOME grace from the victor. I completely get why Kendrick would be forever on sight with Drake. He’s a fraud, huckster, lame, and opportunist who used the pens, talents, and momentums of others to sail straight to the top of the genre and act as if he’s God gift when in reality he can’t write a complete 16 bars to save his own life. Not only that he put money in the streets of Compton to get info. So I get the eternal hatred for Aubrey. But I hope he and Cole can reconcile one day.
They all sound like tracks Cole was working on that he had an open verse on and just let Kendrick rock on them. All the beats and concepts are clearly Cole'sHearing these it's pretty apparent why it didn't work. Kendrick doing all the heavy lifting ......These tracks feel more like Coles bag than Kendricks. Which tells me Kenny was probably holding back to let Cole keep pace. Dot prolly realized this would only hinder his growth long term. And he was right. Tracks are mid.
I agree with this. Today, Cole is clearly better from a technical aspect. I think back then, Kendrick had the edge because he rode the beats better and had multiple flows. Cole has more multiple flows these days than he did early in his careerCole is better right now from a pure rapping standpoint. Back then Kendrick was better but not like nikkas tryna make it in here.
What do you mean by that specifically?Chump shyt, Kenny's entire layout career wise has always been suspect to me
