Fury put it on Wilder tonight. I don't think Wilder expected Tyson to come out as aggressive as he did, Fury was landing that hard jab all night. Wilder was very off tonight don't know whether it was the added weight or what but he didn't look good at all, he was looking to land one shot and that's it. Fury went out and took the that title tonight, he looked as good or better than the Wlad fight in there. Wilder's gonna need a long break, he took a beating tonight. Curious to see what happens next, trilogy or Joshua vs Fury.

Wilder need to chill on the immediate rematch

Let him rest up heal the ear drum... come back in the Fall fight an Otto Wallin type

After that put him in there with Ruiz or Kownacki... a decent name that would sell N hype him up if he wins

After those two fights whoever got the belts you fight ... take whatever offer you can get :manny:

Wilder ain’t changing he is who he is... maybe he gets lucky N slumps the champ maybe he gets beat from pillar to post... but this would be the best comeback scenario for him

Nobody erased it it’s because nobody cares.

Joshua did what he was supposed to do in the rematch. The first fight was a last minute fight... Joshua was prepared to fight a whole other person:mjlol:

Took Ruiz last minute and underestimated him.
He even knocked Ruiz down...

He took his L humbly and came back smaller, in better condition, and ready to outbox Ruiz which he did. Convincingly too...

Nothing left to see

Ruiz didn’t underestimate shyt:mjlol: He’s been fighting bigger guys his entire career while weighing more of equal than he did that Joshua fight. Ruiz didn’t lose because he was out of shape

Ruiz came into the rematch close to 300 lbs with no gameplan and AJ never put a sustained attack on him. Stop this nonsense. Loses only don’t matter when you avenge them like Lennox did.

Rewatching the fight now, Wilder looked shook when Fury started landing his own punches after Wilder landed a couple of good shots in the first round. He looked scared, he's said on numerous occasions he was scared of getting knocked out and he promised he kids he wouldn't be. I think the aggressive approach by Fury scared him, shook him up and unsettled him. Looked at Fury when Wilder landed and he took the shots very well and he ended up going and pressuring him and making him uncomfortable. Fury fought very confidently and seriously, impressive.

He needs Kownacki and Big Baby Miller, no need for a rematch

Wilder didn't do anything different from what he normally does...

It was all Fury. Fury came forward all night. Wilder's jab is ass, Fury is much bigger much slicker, Once Wilder abandoned his jab and went looking for the one shot (as usual), Fury pressed him even more.

There was one uppercut from Fury in the clinch that literally made me go :picard:... Wilder got schooled in every way.

Wilder was tired, he already got twigs for legs and Fury just kept LEANING on him, manhandling him in the corner and in the clinches, only to let him go and pop him some more.

The ear shot didn't help but regardless, Wilder was going out tonight.

Andre broke it down similarly

Only thing I didn't agree with is what he said about AJ. AJ is a physical freak and he is no Wilder when it comes to boxing skill.

People need to stop talking shyt on Wilder in here - dude was beat to shyt with a burst eardrum and he was STILL ready to go out on his shield. Respect that man.
In the same breath tho, ppl need to respect fury too, he put it on argually the most devastating puncher in boxing from the first bell, bullied wilder, i expected wilder to catch fury cold, complete opposite, agree though wilders heart kept him going he was battered

Y’all keep saying he only threw his right, nope it was the opposite he couldn’t even get it off because it was getting smothered. I’ve always said great defensive fighters are so good you don’t even throw your best punches or sometimes throw punches at all and this was that. This was Winky vs Trinidad, this was Hopkins vs De La Hoya, This was Ward vs Froch. Whitaker vs Chavez but even more brutal. Go watch those fights and you’ll see they got they best punches eliminated and stopped throwing it.

Just going through some of the old posts in the thread for context, this fight has also made Sugar Hill a worldwide star as a trainer now. He's gonna have everyone on him now wanting his services. I was really impressed with him, even when I heard him in the corner earlier I was impressed, Sugar Hill and Andy Lee sounds like the way to go for him, he can't do that in every fight, but in many that's what he needs, much more exciting than a lot of his fights also.

I had a feeling going into the fight that they were going to try to get Wilder out of there. It just made so much sense.

Even though I felt Tyson won the first time, I think he understood that just outboxing Wilder for 12 rounds while avoiding knockout/knockdowns is extremely difficult to do. Hell he got knockdown twice with that strategy already. We gotta try something else.

Even though Tyson isn’t considered a power puncher, it didn’t matter. If a high level boxer goes into a fight committed to getting a guy out of there, they can do it.

3rd round Fury fukked him up, Wilder seemed like a helpless child in that round. 2nd round was close, first Fury won clearly. After the 2nd really it was just a prolonged sustained beating. shyt was dominant, he was rocking him with body shots too, knocked him down I believe with a body shot at 1 point too. Wilder looked terrified in there, looked like a dear in headlights, looked like the walking wounded after a certain point. Fury fought a brave fight and by and large a smart fight, I guess he came in heavier for punch endurance too, didn't seem phased by any of the Wilder shots he landed early and he did land some nice shots in the 1st and especially the 2nd. Sugar Hill looked supremely confident, Wilder's corner looked shook. Fury outmanned him, bullying is the best word I can think of. He just couldn't fukk with him at all. Just seen the body shot again, damn, knocked him down hard with that body shot. Ropes kept him up at 1 point too. Fury looked like the big boy at school taking the smaller child's lunch money. Fury went hard in this fight and didn't give a fukk, serious shyt. That was serious... I'm looking at Sugar Hill too and it's really impressive, Sugar never got cocky at any point, he stayed on game the whole fight. There was a real gap in quality this fight. Fury fought like a beast, have to respect that. He was punishing him in there, I'm glad they stopped that shyt cause it looked like Wilder could have got hurt badly if it continued and no-one wants that, a beating like that sustained isn't good. He looked out on his feet and exhausted. Fury stalked him like prey, he was never in any trouble and Wilder was gone.
