Rewatched the fight last night. During the original airing I was so amazed Fury got up in the 12th I didn't realize how bad he had Wilder hurt after that
After rewatching I'm starting to think an in shape Fury might be able to hurt Wilder

Yeah there was a point Fury landed and Wilder had to hold on. Gonna be interesting, I was rewatching too and another thing I noticed was how much fat Fury had around his lower hips, he was terribly out of shape, his Dad was right, he had rolls of flabby soft skin hanging off him. He was in horrible condition last time.

Yea his back was fat as shyt with rolls literally hanging over his belt line.
After he got floored in the 12th he rocked Wilder , Wilder held then ran pretty much the rest of the round while hurt. He swung a couple rights to keep Fury off him
Wilder is obviously the harder puncher but I think an in shape Fury might be able to work more. Maybe close Wilder eye with the jab or even rock him again

I thought Fury was bullshytting at first but now I genuinely believe he wants to put more behind his punches and be more aggressive, if it’s done smartly with a tight defence I agree that’s the best way.

Watching the first fight over...Mark Breland picked up on Fury constantly dipping his head anticipating Wilder's right hand by the 5th round. It's gonna be interesting to see if Fury can give different looks in the 2nd fight.

May have also underestimated how much Wilder went to the body during this fight. He threw more jabs to the body than I've seen him do his entire career :patrice:

Leaning Wilder by KO in the 4th

In the first fight most refs would have called it soon as Fury hit the canvas

Fury fights down a lot and Wilder must be at his best going into this all healthy because he claimed to have hurt his left before the first fight

The ref made the right decision not to stop the fight, some refs would have called it off but it would have been bad referring, what's the point of a 10 count if you don't give the fighter a chance to make the count?

What happened is vindication of his decision as he survived and continued, and actually was pressing Wilder himself after it so he was clearly ok to carry on. Refs should only really a stop a fight if it's completely 1 sided sustained beatings over a period (even then should really be the corner to throw the towel in if they think their fighter has had enough) or when the fighter clearly can't continue, like if they get knocked down and then when they get up they can't stand up properly. Otherwise got to give the fighters a chance of a fair fight and match, in boxing people are gonna get knocked down, many times they've got back up, sometimes that person has gone on to knock the other fighter down or win the fight.

The ref recently spoke about it...

Fantastic call by the ref and the right decision, very professional and his experience and expertise was commendable.

And yeah, if Fury does that leaning down shyt without looking it's a very dangerous game and could lead to a Wilder knockout. And there's reports of something being wrong with Fury, so not sure if that will play a role, but there's been reports of injury for a while and also things not being or going right in some way.
