Its so easy to tell your knowledge of the region and its history boils down to a few perfunctory skims of wikipedia articles.

Please, just stop. Leave the pontificating to guys like @thekingsmen and @NegroTurbo who actually know what they're talking about. You are literally misinforming people about things you clearly don't understand.

Don't expose your self :heh:

If you have a problem with anything I said then contest. In fact, put up a ban bet :pachaha:

"a few perfunctory skims of wikipedia articles" nah try actual Nigerians in Nigeria.

Let me guess, your one of those punk ass Africans living in the West? :dead:

Why should there be an "international" effort against boko haram? It's 50 useless fukking p.o.s African states there just sitting back and watching...waiting for the white man that they hate so much to come rescue them frm their fellow Africans...fukk them...let them kill themselves...

What do other African states have to do with what's going on in Nigeria? If the Nigerian Military or Police can't deal with Boko Haram then that's there problem.

As long as Boko Haram keep their destructive activities to the predominantly Muslim North.......

Rip to the victims and my prayers go towards the families...

1 is already too many, but 2,000:wow:

On a related note,
A muslim can correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure these actions of Boko haram goes directly against the Quran. Actually i think this is one of the biggest sins you could commit. Women and children are not supposed to be murdered, and peaceful people are not to be attacked, even if they arent "strict" enough in their worship.
So i think its safe to say the "muslims" that commit the bigger, more offensive sins sins shouldnt be taken serious when compared to muslims who commit smaller sins.
There are literally levels to this shyt

You have a point here...

We have to get to where we have a black Army that will have the funding, equipment, and training, to be deployed when we need to take care of problems like this.

It shows how infantile we are in this global society, it's sad. Like someone said, we waiting on white daddy to take care of the problem. Where are our black men willing to go soldier in black countries?

:patrice:

Would be a good use for young, hopeless, thugs over here really. And before some pushy ass bytch goes there...he'll yeah I'm down to ride as suggested.

You know someone furiously pecking their keyboard like :skip: "What about you......:bryan:...why YOUUUUUUU not over there. ..." of pushy ass fukk nikkas...

no disrespect to you but let me briefly explain why that other member (forgot his name) said this post was stupid

1. To have an "army" you need to have some degree of sovereignty.

2. There are too many ideological divisions within the Black race in America.

Are you an actual Nigerian in Nigeria? No? Then why act as if you are likely to know or understand more about the country than those that actually have genuine ties to it? Whether a Nigerian lives in the country or abroad, I'd rather hear their opinion on the matter than some random dude posting the twitter handles of Nigerians as if that's supposed to tell me anything about him.

Why hide behind this nonsensical ad-hominem except to deflect from the fact that your knowledge of the country is superficial? I wasn't born in Nigeria (neither were my parents for that matter), but I have lived and worked there. The fact that you think people who were born in the country do not return out of fear is the height of stupidity.

There is no empathy across ethnic lines which is far worse than "elites have no compassion or connection to the country" since the elite are usually there by ethnic politics.
This whole sentence is complete nonsense. There is plenty of empathy across ethnic lines amongst everyday people who largely live without sectarian violence despite the large variety of ethnic groups in a country of 170 million and hundreds of ethnic groups, but in the context of political power this is completely irrelevant. Elites don't rise to power as a result of ethnic politics, they are put in power by other elites who in turn established tenure in the fallout of colonial rule and the tumultuous period that followed.

The political process itself is corrupt so accountable democracy is negligible. This isn't on the people and the idea that empathy levels amongst everyday people plays a part in this is laughable. The person you quoted was entirely right, the wealth of the country is funneled up to the top and then spent abroad.

Im just semi-knowledgeable in some countries of Africa.
At the very least ideas and notions you have put forward in this thread have largely been well founded.

Thats incredibly funny seeing as the few dozen Nigerians in Nigeria said the complete opposite of this nonsense :dead:

Nigeria is not going to exist a decade from now on its current path and its all because of the lack of empathy across ethnic lines, corruption and bad leadership. You would think oil prices tumbling would make you lot get your act together or this massacre but:yeshrug:

I dapped because your informed on what's going on in Africa IMO

But I kind of disagree on the state not existing in a decade. I think ultimately Nigeria will be like an African version of China or India where the center will will hold the periphery. Nigerian politicians of every tribe, ethnic group, religion and region have mansions and villas in the capital (Abuja) and they all go to Aso Rock to collect their % of the $$$$.
