several congressional members have went down to governorship so it's not that unprecedented, it's still a pretty big deal to be the chief executive of a state being a congressional member is one in a pond of many most of the time.
A congressman has to run every 2 years. A governor is every 4. A senator is every 6.

Depending on the makeup of your assembly your stint as governor can be pleasant or worse.

Being a governor is a demotion. Why pick corny fights in Atlanta when you can command a greater audience in DC?
Because the changes she is trying to enact start from the foundation. When she eventually becomes governor - she's even more determined now - she's going to wholesale change the f*ck shyt you seen that took place in this election.

People don't realize the south is stifled from moving past its sh*tty history because of the antiquated laws and policies held over from prior to the civil war by whites supported by old confederacy family money.
