Tom Perez just led the Democrats to a record amount of victories that led to them taking over the US House.

As far as Abrams, I think she will further challenge the voter suppression/purging that Kemp successfully completed. She can also run for the US Senate.
:rudy: Stop. Tom Perez didn't lead the dems to victory. The dems were slated to roll on the reds BEFORE the primaries even settled who would take place in the general elections

Y'all gotta stop this narrative that Tom Perez and Nancy Pelosi led us to victory.

I’m not a fan of neither, but it would be disingenuous to deny that the Democrats picked up a record number of seats while Perez was in this leadership position.

The Democrats were also slated to win the 2016 Presidential election, but that didn’t go as planned :manny:

So the senate is gone, but who really gives a fukk. We have enough power in the house. As long as there is a majority in the senate, we can’t do a thing about it for 2 years. Believe me though, once Trumps stench starts sticking to Repubs, they are going to have to choose losing more seats in 2020, or having the party decimated. The people have spoken clearly, even the ones that don’t completely hate Trump want checks and balances, and they are fed up with the constant defense from the GOP even more than they are fed up with the constant offense from the Dems. Mitch is a complete and total piece of fukking shyt, but he is NOT an idiot. He met with Murdoch last week, and Murdoch told him “you defend Trump to a certain point, but there has to be a red line”, and Trunp being the crazy that he is will cross the red line. I just don’t know what the red line is, is it Mueller, is it the sky rocketing deficit, is it working with Dems in the house, is it COMPLETE abdication of the job, is it not enough abdication of his job, is it refusing to sign the next budget bill, is it the insistence of the Wall, is it immigration now that the mid terms are over? I’m not sure, but I’m sure it exists.

Hope You right........

Stacey Abrams did way better than I thought she'd do for a Black Woman running in Georgia. She did not lose. This race was stolen from her. Kemp's voter suppression operation was just something that was insurmountable.

I am so proud of her for fighting like she did - refusing to concede to this cheating cac - until the very end.

She is a talented and the Democratic Party needs to find a leadership position for her. I would love it if she'd become head of the DNC because ole boy Tom Perez ain't cutting it.

I don't want her sitting in some fundraising job. Someone that qualified, that talented, who did that well in freaking Georgia with the odds against her like that, needs to stay in Georgia and get it done. Run for senate in two years or challenge Kemp again for governor in four.

If she’s in the senate why would she want to be the damn governor? I’m sure shorty has ambitions.

It was literally ATL vs the rest of the rural areas.
y'all outside of GA often ignore how many Dems are in the other core metro cities, Richmond Bibb, Chatham and Doughtery Counties for instance had great turnout and gave in excess of 200,000 votes to Abrams

Purdue’s racist ass is up in 2020. She could run for Senate and if she wants run for Governor after that. And then appoint her replacement to the Senate. :leon:

Being a governor is a demotion. Why pick corny fights in Atlanta when you can command a greater audience in DC?

several congressional members have went down to governorship so it's not that unprecedented, it's still a pretty big deal to be the chief executive of a state being a congressional member is one in a pond of many most of the time.
