I feel like Pennsylvania/Wisconsin/Michigan might go back to being the Dem firewall in 2020.

All states Trump won in 2016 but where Dems did well last night. If that holds in 2020 then the map is a lot harder for Trump in 2020.

Still though, Florida. :beli:

Yeah, let's just hope that their success in those states continues. And for MN, Klobuchar smoked her opponent

Yeah, once Trump got in, the Republican party became a place where "family values" and "God first" stopped being a thing. Like, deaded that old establishment of the George W Bush era and before that :heh:

He transformed it into an oversized bigoted political party that thrives only in the South. Like aomeone said, he already reached his ceiling on the support he's gonna get.

One thing I noticed about the conservative movement in general is that they're pretty accepting of atheists now. Now it's all about race, nationalism, being an a$$hole etc.

2020 Senate map has GOP playing defense in much of the country.

If there’s a recession, that won’t be a good look for the Republicans.

Which seats of theirs are actually vulnerable? Corey Gardener in CO for sure, and maybe Sue Collins. But I don't know where else they could pick up seats with the current climate.

Mitch McConnell is up and I would love to see him get the boot, but I highly doubt Kentucky will do that. They consistently vote in hardcore right wingers like Matt Bevin, Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, Mitch, etc.

I read the wiki articles for the Obama's SC picks and I was surprised to see that John McCain and Lisa Murkowski voted no on them. The Republicans who voted yes aside from Sue Collins and Lindsay Graham are all retired now. I don't think the GOP will elect any new moderate senators in the forseeable future (not that I consider a Lindsay Graham a moderate).

The republicans caused the last economic crash and in 2 years they were back in power.

I don't understand how people somehow forgot this recent event. Crashes the economy. Still blame Obama. Blamed Obama that it took time to recover. Think Trump is responsible for current economy.

Irrational hatred and behavior. The people don't deserve a good country. Simple as that.

I don’t see how.

Alabama is going to vote Jones out cause it’s Alabama.

Being a Democrat is an ugly word in too many red states.

That's because Senate terms last 6 years (which is exactly how long it took, they won the senate back in 2014)

By 2014, the chances of Democrat senators winning in redneck states was pretty low.
And you have folks thinking of drafting Wolf out of PA during the census

And folks are happy that democrats won in Kansas! Chris is going to come back in 4 years and ask what has the democrat done, and they will elect him to fix the democrats mess.

I am fukking tired of fixing people’s mess. I am tired of being the responsible adult.
