$15.00 an hour isn't a lot of money.

How is your medical plan? We don't even have a co-pay.

It depends on a person situation

If u a woman with kids and u receive section 8 and welfare u good.

If u single and u good at money management you'll struggle but u can survive in certain parts of the country

In New York, LA and San Francisco u will have roommates
You’re not qualifying for section 8/welfare making $15 an hour unless you have 2+ kids. Not here anyway.

Bi weekly. It's a decent plan, but I have a co pay. Medical for me is $120 a month, and No I'm not living I'm surviving. I do not make enough money to live on my own and that's real shyt. Imagine this, when I was a supervisor, my paychecks were LESS than this, and I had more responsibility..

The only point I want to make is you gotta aspire to be better. I was out here making close to 15 an hour for a few years out of comm college. It was a struggle. I wasn’t great with money, and such a large portion of it was going to basic utilities, food, and rent. I had help in the form of a girl who could hold me down if I was not in a good spot that month and parents who didn’t mind if I paid them for car insurance on their plan a week late.

I ended up finding a much more profitable sales gig where I should finish this year close to 70k after being at 61 or 62 the first year. My girl makes 60 and is constantly striving, taking advantage of the other educational opportunities her career gives her that she can use to step her salary up. Right now I’m looking into opportunities within my company as well as side hustles in order to continue to take this to the next level.

We are SO much more comfortable and in SUCH a better financial spot than before. Just bought our first home :banderas:

Don’t strive to survive. Don’t concede that that is alright for you, or your area, or whatever. The best find a way.

I'm starting to question how many of yall have actually made $15 in 2017.

Look at my average Take Home (biweekly) and tell me how I'm gonna pay $700 rent, $150 utilities, Car note + Insurance, groceries (easy $100 per week) and a student loan.

Not even going to bring up cable/internet, phone bill, wine and dine a GF etc.

Forget having any emergency or missing a day of work.

@Rarely-Wrong Liggins

The hell these people on man., I gotta dance with credit cards to pay off these certs :wow:
Cable is a luxury. Internet luxury. Get a non contract phone plan like boost mobile 35 a month with unlimited internet. Use that time to make more money. Wine and dine lol on 15hr once in awhile (entree, water, deals) but gotta get ya money up. That's the pain with having a student loan. It hurts but that's a lifestyle sacrifice getting a loan. Get a side hustle too. Just gotta grind

Looking at y'all pay stub made me realize my old job was a blessing. I was making 600-800 a week after taxes @ 13.65 an hour. :wow:

How is it that y'all are making nearly 15 an hour and only taking home ~$900 biweekly? :dahell:

Man ... and I used to complain about my old job. Smh
Is $1500 a month reasonable to live off in the Midwest :patrice:
