the solution is to switch them to charter schools, vouchers or other public schools

its nowhere as serious as people are making it out to be, this weeping and gnashing of teeth is purely emotional, most of the schools that get shut down will most likely re-open as charter schools anyways

Privatized schools is what you want?

I don't care about privatization of the schools, but the City of Chicago took a metaphorical shyt on a lot of students and said "fukk it, not our problem."

:usure:......is that your default or arbitrary answer for "failure".... We have national debt of $16 trillion............is that failure??

so what is your solution for kids that go to these schools??

Home schooled?

I don't understand this question, this is the same thing people were asking me on the podcast, the schools are closing and re-opening as charters schools

I don't get why people act like the kids will have nowhere to go, why are y'all crying over schools that are failing?? :what:

I :pacspit: on these schools, good riddance

nobody is crying over schools that are failing

they are crying over schools set up to fail in the first place

they still in 2013 receive only 1/3 of the funding predominantly white school districts receive.

they get the teachers that are below standard and that the other schools would never hire

the prerequisites are not that of higher learning but more concerned with making sure children past standardized test so that teachers can get paid.

and by closing schools you are taking some children accustomed to their neighborhood shoving them in other neighborhoods where likely the clicks will be different insuring more violence.

on top of that, you are piling more children into classrooms clearly overcrowding them and leaving teachers unable to properly educate because of the overwhelming number of children they will have to handle

and instead of doing the right thing and opening the budget so these children can be funded the exact same way the predominantly white school districts are and making the education more than just passing the up coming standardized test, giving these children a chance at succeeding, they rather take the easy way out and just close the schools and treat the children like they are too stupid to get to national level, when you giving the children a bad base to start from, off jump.

its the equivalent of what goes on in the hood, where the federal government turn a blind eye to overwhelming number of drugs, guns and liquor stores in the hood, which is clearly a recipe of failure but then want to point the fingers at the people who commit the crimes as if they were not set up to fail in the first place.
