If you can take the $125k and move somewhere cheaper then what's the point of having this $125k vs $165k debate???
Because that's one of the advantages of taking the $125k. Not being tied to a specific location. You could relocate to South America or Bali or Kenya, cut your living expenses drastically, while still working.
If I was forced to stay in the same location as the job and work from home in that vicinity, then yeah I'd take $165k but that's a stupid way to look at it.
So now the argument is one sided.
I think both incomes should be the same city with a relatively cheap cost of living, otherwise there would be no real point in taking the $165k
Your remote job will allow you to move to a radically different timezone? Or would you have to adjust your sleep schedule and work at night/sleep during the day?Because that's one of the advantages of taking the $125k. Not being tied to a specific location. Why would I take a pay cut to go into the office?
Been remote since 2020, and I ain't going back
Y'all be safe though
But the point is still that depending where you live and work that time can be much longer than the average by a lot, and with no exaggeration.I'm just saying, y'all make it seem like it's bumper to bumper for a majority of Americans. Again, the median commute is 26 minutes. That's actually not bad at all
For somebody that wants the $165k, a 26 minute commute ain't shyt.

Either way, work is only 8 hours. With a Monday and Friday remote you still have way more time to hustle
You think a hybrid role where you work 3 days in the office means you are off for the other 4?
This nikka would get fired the first week
That's crazy. I didn't even know he passed.Richard Moll is dead.
Only people left is John Laroquette and I think Marsha WarfieldThat's crazy. I didn't even know he passed.
That whole cast is gone, which is kinda crazy for a 90s show.
Looooool thought it was just my company.165k on site.
Who says you can’t leave early at your lunch time anyway? Everyone at my corporation does it.
