i just found it mad boring.I watched 12 years a slave yesterday and it was a great movie. It was very powerful and intense. It shows one of the most accurate views of slavery. To the people tired of these movies just don't watch it! How many horror movies do they make about demons? The people hearing some shyt in their houses? No one says I'm tired of the same horror movies. Or it's no different from them making those romance comedies over and over again with damn near the same thing going on. If you don't want to see a slave movie don't watch. I'm glad they are making these movies because they are acknowledging what happened to us African Americans instead of just saying we should get over it and forget, but yet they drill down our throats about never forgetting 9/11.the movie was well done and all of the actors did a wonderful job. If you don't like the type of movie it was you can atleast no it was well done for what it was. And to the people who say it was a load of crap......EXPLAIN? I have heard of all of the things that happened in this movie.
what was boring about it?i just found it mad boring.
Better question would be what was entertaining? i saw it less than 24 hours ago and already forgot most of the story...It was interesting at first, how did he get kidnapped? who set him up? a few plot twists, but once he got to the plantations it just dragged on & on without the main story moving, i guess to show the 'authenticity' of plantation life but a repeat of the same shyt over & over without any twists or progression doesn't make for good story telling.what was boring about it?

it's a movie. i know its based on an autobiography and all, but the point of movies is to entertainMotherfukker thought he was watching Hitchcock or some shyt.

Well I'm not sure what you were looking for out of this. watch movies to get educated brehs
Django was entertaining, The Pianist was entertaining with that weak excuse. It just wasn't that good of a movie most of the positive reviews are coming from guilty cacs & tarantino haters 'omg this was such a realistic depiction of slavery' like you was there
Yeah I felt the same way. I understand the historical importance and the emotional aspects of the movie, but from a pure cinematic standpoint the movie just wasnt that good.
By the time he got rescued I had stopped caring if he would get out or not. I just wanted the movie to end
There's tons of movies that show well-off black people. Quite frankly I'm tired of those movies because they usually are melodramatic, stereotypical low-quality pandering.
Also how many people do you know that would be excited to see a movie about African kings and warriors? While it might tickle your fancy, the film would undoubtedly lose money.
300 made half a billion dollars world wide. You mean to tell me if instead of the Spartans, it was about the Zulu warriors the movie would be garbage?
The only reason movies featuring blacks due so poorly is because of the inherent racism and bias in this country.
