i dont think the joshua camp paid much attention to the rematch clause, but im leaning more to your side of reasoning and details but i hope he will see 10mill+ unless its a straight crime.
They did, they had to, only an amateur wouldn't pay attention to a rematch clause, especially when fighting a good fighter, even if your guy is the favourite. That's why Ruiz is locked in for a rematch with AJ in the first place, they don't want a rematch at all, they want to do Wilder vs Ruiz. So they had the money agreed and also that AJ's team would decide the location, Ruiz team were making a fuss about the location though so they must have decided to take the huge money and do it in a neutral location for less hassle and get the fight agreed and announced. Don't worry about Ruiz, he's making more than he's ever made with these 2 fights trust, he's already changed his life and the money for the 2nd fight even more so, and if he wins even MORE so, if he wins then he's gonna be a big star and will probably do an undisputed fight for big money with Fury or Wilder. He's gonna be just fine regardless money wise. It's not a crime, it was an agreement, Ruiz is making mad money, just with the Saudi deal team AJ can pay Ruiz what was initially agreed and make a huge amount for money themselves. Business wise everyone is coming out of this a winner relatively, especially AJ and Hearn who are caking off this shyt, they making more money in this fight from a loss than they probably would have done in the first fight. Big stakes for this 1, if AJ wins big fights are back on, we may see AJ vs Usyk and maybe 1 day vs Fury or Wilder, if Ruiz wins he will probably be the 1 in the undisputed fight, unless he has to face Usyk, as I don't think he will beat Usyk, Usyk's footwork should be too much for him and he should win comfortably on points unless Ruiz catches him and hurts him.
