the thing canelo likes about these british guys, they like to square up and high guard - that makes it so easy to place a left hook behind the right elbow. watch his fight with liam smith, watch his fight with rocky fielding. its always the left hook behind the right elbow.
a lot of americans come up sparring mexican fighters in our gyms. i dont think any of these european fighters really understand how to box mexicans and they make a lot of little mistakes like that.

but guys like Beefy and Fielding = cannon fodder/career mode dudes.
Those punches didn't have the same effect on better fighters like GGG and Lara who employ similar defensive guards.
Don't get me wrong, Canelo can definitely win this and with that punch. I just don't think its going to be some casual stroll through the park.
I agree that a lot of Europeans don't know all of the subtle shifts that type of guard requires to deal with those Mexican style hooks.
