If there ever is a Sister Act reboot, Athena will star as Sister Mary Clarence
How about you answer one question about AEW without always saying "....bu, but, WWE"?And how many of these debuts would the WWE audience know about without watching NXT since HHH hasn't done any intro packages for the vast majority of them?
AwesomeAdded every match but the AR Fox match. I could only do 15 choices and with 8 matches one had to be left out.
My Main Event for sureI expect Willow and The DMV's very own Afropunk, Trish Adora, lady and gentlemen, to have a fantastic match! Those two always work well together.

Not giving people backstories gives fans a reason to NOT care about that person. Why would fans get behind some guy without a story and/or a gimmick who looks like he just finished a shift at Dunkin' Donuts? And how many of these debuts would the WWE audience know about without watching NXT since HHH hasn't done any intro packages for the vast majority of them?
And you don't HAVE to do research to watch it. Not everyone needs a back story. Not every character on every show you watch has a back story. Why does it have to be that way with wrestling? You watch the NBA and don't need back stories or character stories for that.
Athena would never want to be around that many Black people. If there ever is a Sister Act reboot, Athena will star as Sister Mary Clarence
And do you get a back story on the NBA broadcasts on every NBA player that plays? Do you get a back story on the NFL broadcasts on every NBA player that plays? Do you get a back story on MLB broadcasts on every MLB player that plays? Not giving people backstories gives fans a reason to NOT care about that person. Why would fans get behind some guy without a story and/or a gimmick who looks like he just finished a shift at Dunkin' Donuts?
Sonce you mentioned the NBA, we learn something about every guy on the stage at draft night, and during games we often get factoids about players. That's how we learned that Javale McGee's mom played pro basketball, and that Steve Nash grew up playing soccer, or that Dominique Wilkins was born in France.
You're not making a good case here, sir.
Athena would never want to be around that many Black people.
Show me one instance where that happened, and the following epidsode where the debuting person wasn't explained.WWE will debut people with zero video packages to let you know anything about them. "I can enjoy WWE without having to do research"
Most of these people HHH is bringing in to the main roster front NXT - either called up or rehired - aren't getting any introductions. Like Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai just randomly debuted at SummerSlam and were inserted right into the Damage Ctrl thing without any backstory or explanation on it.Show me one instance where that happened, and the following epidsode where the debuting person wasn't explained.
The last characters who I can remember debuting in the WWE without an introduction were the members of Retribution, who arrived in costume & were given a subsequent storyline.
When someone debuts in AEW, it's usually some Japanese guy in sweatpants, or an indy wrestler that gets his name mentioned once and then has a 15 minute match that we're supposed to be invested in.
Those two things aren't remotely the same.
You must not watch real sports. We get player introductions for each starter before tipoff, and player trivia throughout the game. I gave examples above. And do you get a back story on the NBA broadcasts on every NBA player that plays?
Of course not, those are two different sports leagues.Do you get a back story on the NFL broadcasts on every NBA player that plays?
See above.Do you get a back story on MLB broadcasts on every MLB player that plays?
That's not true. I challenge you to watch a few football games today or tomorrow. You'll learn a lot of cool factoids about players. You said that you're a Kentucky fan. If you even halfway paid attention to the announcers, you would've learned cool personal stories about Jamal Mashburn, John Wall, Anthony Davis, KAT, or even Adolph Rupp. Even if that weren't the case, basketball isn't an individual sport. If I didn't know who John Wall is, I could still enjoy the game. No, of course you don't. You don't learn shyt about the vast majority of the players.
I told you to SHOW me where that happened. Here's why you didn't:Most of these people HHH is bringing in to the main roster front NXT - either called up or rehired - aren't getting any introductions. They even changed Iyo's name without any kayfabe explanation, which is a pretty common thing throughout WWE as a matter of fact.
How is that any different than Trent Seven randomly debuting last night at Rampage then being inserted into a feud with Orange Cassidy?
Why do you have to know someone to enjoy it? Sounds like you care more about stories than the sport/wrestling.You must not watch real sports. We get player introductions for each starter before tipoff, and player trivia throughout the game. I gave examples above.

Pro wrestling is different. If I don't know the guy going 20 minutes with the company's champion, then that limits my enjoyment. Pro wrestling is as much about the personalities as it is the moves being performed in the ring.
