If I have learned anything this past year, it’s that wouldn’t count because apparently wrestling fans are incapable of using the internet to do anything remotely resembling research. Or at least that is what the WWE stans have me believing since they always saying “who” whenever someone debuts on TV without a video package.

I don't have to do research to enjoy the NBA, Law & Order, WCW, MLB, ECW, Impact, WWE, the NFL, History Channel programs, or any other show that I enjoy watching. I shouldn't have to do research in order to watch rasslin'.
Why do hardcore AEW fans brag about having to visit the library in order to follow the show? That isn't a selling point!

And how many of these debuts would the WWE audience know about without watching NXT since HHH hasn't done any intro packages for the vast majority of them?

And you don't HAVE to do research to watch it. Not everyone needs a back story. Not every character on every show you watch has a back story. Why does it have to be that way with wrestling? You watch the NBA and don't need back stories or character stories for that.
