And lets be honest, Spence doesn't want to fight Bud. At all. :russ:

neither one of them is worried about fighting the other. dont let the boxing politics turn this into something it's not. errol didn't want to be a part of the post-fight convo, and he definitely wasn't there to show bud any love. especially since bud stopped shawn and he didn't. first thing he said was shawn was winning and his pops stopped it too early. he remembers the way porter kept coming at him and i'm sure that shyt was eating at him a lil bit, lol.

but bud is arguably the best closer in boxer, at any weight class. top 3 bare minimum. when he gets people in trouble, they go to sleep or it ends with the ref waving it off.

also, bud's whole style is adaptation. he's not a defensive fighter. it just looks that way at the end. but really, he figures out what you're doing, your timing, and then... it's not even that he takes it away, he just counters it so effectively you either change up or you're done. at that point he looks like a defensive fighter cause he knows where the shots are coming from.

that's why he can be hit early. but that's also why he's able to be so aggressive with his offense late, and close so effectively.

shawn wasn't going to adapt, that's why he kept eating the same punch. he was going to get hurt.

you think his dad didn't know what was gonna happen? they got history with that man.

This man Kenny Porter said he knew he was going to stop it GOING INTO THE FIGHT. This some fukk shyt. And I don't want to hear about how folks hating on Bud. I picked Bud to win by stoppage weeks ago. The way that fight ended was bullshyt.

I had Porter winning the fight going into round 10. He could've continued and Bud would likely have stopped him. COOL! Let it happen. Kenny Porter robbed Bud of his moment, that was some hoe ass shyt.

Respect to Bud for grinding throughout that fight but this was bitter sweat.

kenny wanted the story to be about him and his son. emphasis on him. nothing new there.

doesn't mean he made the wrong decision tho.

Only time will tell. It's the fight to be made so we will wait and see..................... Although I feel I know what will happen.:mjpls:

The stoppage was weak. He didn't want to see his son get jumped on. Might as well send him out with head gear on.

I know all that and I dont want fighters going out on their shield, I said so already, that has always been silly to me.

But your fighter wanted to honor Hagler and had WAR written on his trunks and on his gumshield and you're stopping it at the first sign of defeat ? What kind of war were they preparing for ?

Shawn wasnt getting pummeled from pillar to post. He was not defenseless, stiff or out of balance. He was tired yeah but at the very least, see through the round unless he clearly wants out or is in danger by not dishing back. He was frustrated and furious he got caught but he was still in it. His behavior after the call and during the interview confirm it.

What I'm complaining about is that the stoppage was early not that it shouldnt have happened ultimately. If there's a third KD, or that Shawn doesnt answer Bud's punches or he's compromised then definitely, stop the fight but that was not the case yet.

I think it was HBO. They did a tribute of Gatti v Ward. Everyone was salivating on the blood and guts those warriors showed.

When these two guys fought, I remember people being excited over two heavyweights trading leather. Showing guys. All that good shyt fans call for.

He passed out in a cab after the fight and this is his life

It doesn't matter what was on his trunks. He was done and his father made the correct call. Boxing isn't some sport where the risks are not severe.

Rolly said the same thing I said. I don't take it away from him Crawford stopped him, he's a legit 147lber. Still don't change the fact if Porter had power he would have put Crawford down a few times. Porter landed some clean shots, he just has mosquito bite punches according to Danny Garcia.

Ugas isn't a big puncher either, but he is a lot more technical and defensively sound than Porter and doesn't make the same careless mistakes which Crawford feeds off of, and he also attacks the body consistently, on top of the fact he is an excellent counter puncher just like Crawford. That would be a good fight.
