Y'all really don't fuk with Sammy huh :skip:. I remember in the earlier days of AEW he was over and people wanted him to be the 1st TNT champion, back when they didn't have crowds. I didn't expect him to lose and I don't think Lethal losing buries him. Maybe Sammy could use some better psychology in the ring, but his flippy shyt is better than Jungle Boy's flippy shyt to me :hubie:

Really liked the opening segment with Dragon/Page and the MJF/Punk confratation.

Still not sure what some see in the Butcher and Blade.

Lio/Dante is turning into a really good tag-team :ehh:
Yeah I don't know why Sammy's getting hate in TSC all of sudden but I did want Lethal to win. I like the dude. Entertaining in the ring and has a dope theme.

Only the WWE stars can waltz in and get pushed hard I see.

This is why Brian cage is sitting at home mad. LAX still ain't doing chit. Lucha bros were misused up until a few months ago.

They made sammy look like the made man and jay Lethal look like an up-n-comer that couldn't win the big one over an already injured champion that just missed a senton from the top rope thru the announce table. Then he gets a pat on the back at the end, while Tony neese was being projected as the big threat to the belt, before the match even began. SMH.

Meanwhile, ruby f*ckin Soho can stroll right in and go over 98% of their women's division on her first night.

I think Ricky's neck is a little more fukked than they're letting on.

Nah, the neck is fine. As far as him not being used as much lately, it could be them being extra cautious, it could be them cycling other people into the spotlight a bit with so many new faces, shyt, it could be them trying to make the FTW title feel more "special" by having him wrestle less often, but there's no issues with his neck beyond what has already been put out there.

Yall actuall thought Jay was buried and jobbed in that match?:mjlol:

1. It was a good match
2. I don't understand how anyone could watch wrestling before 2019 and see that he wasn't jobbed

Let's say I don't talk wrestling on the internet, I didn't know who Jay Lethal was outside of commentary telling me. Sammy came into the match already injured, crash landed through a table, flipped Jay off and screamed at em, couldn't hit his finisher, Jay worked the injury, finally hit his finisher on Jay, Sammy laid the belt next to him talking shyt, Jay gets up and shakes his hand and everybody's friends.

How the fukk am I supposed to take Jay as a serious threat to anybody moving forward?

It's almost like decades of established psychology in the business doesn't mean shyt.

He's called American Dragon right now too. It's on every graphic, when he is announced, comentary calls him that... shyt even in the titantron it says "American Dragon'" :heh:

Damn…… my goodness.

Let me rephrase this better for clarity…… cuz shyt does get lost in context

YES that who is is now and back in ROH/Dragon Gate/Etc. That’s who is ALWAYS WAS.

He was ALWAYS THE AMERICAN DRAGON @Bryan Danielson

My bad that didn’t come out right the first time

The fact that they license real music is so dope. Pixies was a formative rock band for me in H.S.

It was, he could've eaten the L without the rest of the nonsense. But none of that is important rn this is

The same "preconditioning" was in other companies and continents besides WWF/E and made each company and the workers a lot of money and 8-10 mil fans happy weekly. AEW is the one that needs to do some soul searching if they want to reach the same levels.

I don't have to adjust to shyt they're the ones with the company to run, it's their job to make programming accessible. But imagine saying that out loud lol and if fans are conditioned to think that they must think that themselves.

I'll give it some time to see if they have an angle with Lethal. He's only 36. They can build with him for the next 5-10 years.

Sometimes AEW builds slowly for newcomers (for better or worse). Miro had a slow start with the gamer gimmick, then caught fire as the Redeemer. CM Punk is finally getting some hot storylines after doing commentary and exhibition matches for months. Christian wasn't doing much since his debut and then he got an All Out main event feud.

It seems like the focus for AEW right now is to take their homegrown guys to another level. Adam Page is getting his moment as the top face. MJF is building momentum as a top heel. Sammy is getting featured a lot with the TNT title. Jungle Boy finally got a big win over the Young Bucks. Darby is still getting consistent TV time and being protected even in a loss.

No one said he's finished off last night, last night just shouldn't have happened the way it did. If you want to have him lose fine just don't have him get flipped off & barked at and struggle to beat then lose to an already hurt guy who crashed through a table. There's no amount of explaining and figuring in homegrown or not that justifies it.

It seems counterproductive anyway to bring a big star in and immediately have him lose in a title match but I was told I'm not fine tuned enough to appreciate it so that's that.
