They're not taking the belt off Page this early; I wish people would stop saying this. It's like fans continually saying that Punk was heel in the Eddie feud despite him being 100% right about Eddie in storyline and continually coming out of the face tunnel. I highly doubt they have someone beat him before he gets a PPV title defense.

With that said, I highly doubt Hangman makes it past Double or Nothing as champion (and I wouldn't be shocked if Danielson takes it from him there either). I just don't see that happening for some reason, maybe because TOO long of a reign probably won't work with Hangman's story, if they are indeed still writing that story.

Page will most likely beat Bryan but, the possibility that he could be screwed makes this feud so much more interesting.

If it was a generic face vs face feud, everyone knows that Hangman would retain in a fair match. A heel Bryan adds more unpredictability to the outcome which helps the feud. It creates more urgency for Page fans who want to see him beat Bryan.

I'm glad they're going in this direction. I think we will see a side of Bryan we haven't seen in years.

Dante Martin stole Jungle Boy juice. Also think Ricky Starks is more of a pillar than Jungle Boy and Sammy. He’s highly slept on.

I think Ricky's neck is a little more fukked than they're letting on. He's only wrestled 7 matches since he fractured it in April, just started wrestling regularly again on the Jericho Cruise, and it seems like he's only had one match over 10 minutes since he came back. Looks like they're bringing him along slowly at the very least.

I see what you're saying. I just think that, based on the booking we've seen they're going to be telling a very specific story with the Hangman reign that requires him to have the belt for a little bit.

A lot of people are focusing on Bryan's WrestleMania line, but I don't think that was the most important part of his promo. I actually think the important point was made when he said that he wrestled the very next night and mocked Hangman for being in street clothes during his first Dynamite as champion.

I think they're telling a story about the difficulties and pressures involved in defending a title as opposed to just winning it, and Hangman's going to eventually...not crack, per se, but he will probably get beat either by someone with more experience at the main event level (because they know how to deal with that pressure better than Hangman) or by someone craven and opportunistic (because they're not going to care as much about it). Could be wrong, though.

Y'all really don't fuk with Sammy huh :skip:. I remember in the earlier days of AEW he was over and people wanted him to be the 1st TNT champion, back when they didn't have crowds. I didn't expect him to lose and I don't think Lethal losing buries him. Maybe Sammy could use some better psychology in the ring, but his flippy shyt is better than Jungle Boy's flippy shyt to me :hubie:

Really liked the opening segment with Dragon/Page and the MJF/Punk confratation.

Still not sure what some see in the Butcher and Blade.

Lio/Dante is turning into a really good tag-team :ehh:
