Damn I still want to lean with Bud over Spence. The combo of Spence putting in work at 147 coupled with the heel turn on Crawford , may have influenced me to pick Spence, but Bud’s skills>>>
It will be a damn travesty if we don’t get this fight due to an upset or EJ moving up
Crawford's chin is the reason why I'd have it 55-45 or 60-40 in Errol's favor. The biggest question mark for me is Crawford's durability, and his strength when fighting Spence on the inside. Crawford has got the reach advantage to go along with the footwork to give anyone hell, but will he fade in the late rounds like Brook did?
Spence looked good as hell coming forward against pillow fisted Bundu and Algieri. Not so much against Brook. Being that Crawford has solid power, solid counter punching skills, and is more fleet of foot than Brook, Spence could have a hard time finding Crawford's body as consistently as he did versus Brook, which is what shifted the tide in Errol's favor when he stopped Brook.
Now if lil azz Mikey can survive 1,082 punches over 12, then Crawford should be able to survive, but we don't ever expect for Crawford to take the moral victory. His legacy is done if he does that in the biggest fight of his career. Crawford is known to come forward and get into exchanges, sometimes recklessly, and sometimes to his detriment. How strong is Spence's power against the highest level opposition? Instead of watching Peterson, Algieri, Bundu whatever, we'd have to watch Brook, Porter, Mikey and Danny to give us a better idea.
I hope we get that fight. Crawford tripping for saying he doesn't need Spence for his legacy.
