Kenny was basically in an away game vs. Moxley.. it made sense for Mox to go over. I think if they ever have a rematch it'll be a straight singles and Kenny will beat him.

They've been feuding since May. Just because this was the first match they still been going back and forth doing wild shyt for months.

To be fair, I posted that before the match happened and they went full deathmatch. I assumed it was just going to be a street fight or something. That and Jerico/Cody just felt more like a main event than Moxley/Omega.
It's hilarious that Meltzer is acting all shock and appalled at the violence in the Omega and Mox match but is fine with guys dropping each other on their heads and scrambling their brains with stiff forearms

I feel like Omega wanted to do this type of fukkery for a tremendously long time and found the perfect opponent with Mox because New Japan wasn't gonna let Okada, Ibushi, Naito or etc do fukkery like that.... although they were cool with Kenny destroying Michael Elgin in a ladder match for some reason

PNP vs Young Bucks was good.
Page vs PAC was fine. Would have rather PAC went over since he should be getting a title shot, instead they went 50/50 & are doing the match again on TV this week just like the company their supposed to be different from.
Spear vs Janela was pointless as a PPV match. They just set it up on Dark Tuesday, & as soon as it was over they set up Janela vs Sabian. It would have made more sense if it was Darby since they started something with them before TV based on Darby thinking Spears stole his thunder after the Cody match.
SCU vs Lucha Bros vs Private Party was fun. Fenix shoowing up & just trying stuff is the best. They really should have put those belts on Lucha Bros in the tourny or here, there the money team in the company besides the Bucks.
Riho vs Emi was the best womens match they've had. Only real problem was they did a terrible fukking job building the match up.
Jaericho vs Cody was fine. Jericho shouldn't be going 30 minutes at this point. The MJeff stuff feels rushed, if you hadn't started with AEW until TV all you have seen of MJeff is one match & promo where he was a heel & everything else has been him having Cody's back. They should have held off & had MJeff do more on TV to really show he's a heel to everybody but he's Cody's friend so he overlooks everything else like Sting & Luger was. Cody was setting up a War Games in his promo on TV, would have waited & done it there by having MJeff take somebody from the Elites spot after Inner Circle takes them out & he turns in the cage.
Moxley vs Omega was fine for what it was, went way too long, no reason for that type of match to go 39 fukking minutes.
Biggest problem with the PPV was since they don't do a bunch of promos & stuff on TV, the PPV where they are just going to do matches for the most part, just comes off like a longer version of the TV show.

It’s gonna be one of those matches that’s gonna be remembered for a long time. It was one of those matches that Jon(Dean) wanted to do in WWE for a LONG TIME. And now he got it out of his system..
And I’m giving Omega credit for going there. Cause I’m so used to him doing 10 Star matches and he took it to whole other level. Credit to him.

The two main events stole the show, nothing great but the matches are entertaining, once they step up the storytelling AEW will hit its stride.
I don't like Rhio, she is tiny, like she needs to put on some muscle to be believable
I watch dynamite every week and didnt know why Spears and Janella was fighting
SCU is trash, why are they keeping the titles on them? the Luch bros are so much better
As for the main events, Jericho and Cody was a good match, I do think they should have spent more time telling the story between MJF and Cody tho.. That would have made the heel turn more impactful. But its a good way to get that feud started and keep Cody from being JJ in TNA
Omega and Moxely was unneccesarily violent, dangerous, extreme amounts of fukkery and most importantly very entertaining. They are trying to restore the feeling of wrestling being borderline real, they are making hardcore matches fun again. WWE has watered hardcore matches down so much, that watching this match is almost uncomfortable but thats how a hardcore match should feel.. It should'nt look safe and have kendo sticks expose the business. overall a good show, not great because they have yet to tell a great story but the matches are fun to watch

Moxley vs Omega was crazy and it worked, assuming the story from here is they respect each other and neither wants to go through that again so they'll move on to different things. The timing was fine too, despite going 40. It was the womens title match and the Janela match that felt too long to me.
I still don't like the MJF turn though. We only got a month of storylines with them as friends and he turned already. The angle with the towel on its own was a big enough moment to build on. People swear they hate Russo then book just like him.

So it depends on who you are refereeing to as “WE”
Cuz there’s a large portion of us “WE” been following the BTE and other stuff and seen they’ve been friends for over a year now.
I get some may not be up to date on top of that (can’t please everyone) but the ones who have been, how much Ionger do WE need to wait?
