First time they weren't gifted with an ultra hot crowd that buys into everything and every talent and it certainly changed the tone and energy of the show. Finishes to all but Moxley/Omega felt flat and without much build up, almost like they were all rushed and just hit their finish and called it a night.
Really felt like LAX/Bucks never kicked into high gear and was much too long since there was just flat out deadspots with nothing happening and everyone standing around multiple times, plus the finish was botched. Cody/Jericho was a snoozefest as expected but damn Cody just trying to break his fukking neck on the ramp
That cut was gnarly and actually worse than anything in Mox/Omega. Jericho is terrible and I hope they get the title off him very soon because I can't handle another 20-30 minute flabby ass Jericho wheezing his way through a match. Jericho/Tana is going to be brutal. The MJF swerve double swerve turn was nice, JR's reaction
. Definitely much more interested in where that goes than whatever the fukk Jericho is going to do next.
Omega/Moxley was wild as hell, but it was literally a feud going since May and the pre-match hype video was the first time they acknowledged what the feud was actually about: Kenny wanting to prove he's better than anyone in WWE, Moxley wanting to prove he's better than the best outside of WWE. They've had 6 weeks of TV and 3 PPVs and not a single one of those shows actually said what the conflict was about and instead they left that to internet exclusive promos.
I don't think Kenny has even had a single TV promo at all, and Moxley's one promo was bytching about management. The decision to have a full blown CZW match really doesn't make much sense in the context of their feud, but it was wild stunt show. I don't know how you top something with barbed wire weapons, barbed wire spiderwebs, glass, and ring boards as the opening match of a feud. Shame the match didn't even count in the rankings and they killed themselves for nothing
Perhaps the guy prone to life threatening staph and MRSA infections shouldn't be doing matches where he gets dozens of lacerations.
JR being such a grumpy a$$hole all night complaining about the refs literally in every single match from start to finish, and the one time he complimented the ref (Aubrey) he did so by shytting on the rest of them.
Janella/Spears should NOT have been a PPV match. The fukk.
